yep. according to this they sing under the pulpit and some saints are looking at them.....looks cool tbh...

i think spanish is spoken in several countries in world apart from spain ,Latin america!

like portugal and even in USA too its spoken, i heard its considered as second best language spoken!

The cathedral looks magnificent! But, I wonder if all this religious imagery will make it into a video or if it had any sort of influence on the new material. Never heard any of the guys talk about religion but I assume they are non-religious or CoE?

BigFatNoises, hadn't you read prospekt note? they hope to realise 1 ot TWO singles from the album :idea2: before the album realises.

I thought they shot the new videoclip in Italy

Yeah they did but apparentley they might have a debut showing of VLVADAAOHF in Barcalona

Anyway BIGFAT..... I recongnised you only came in March, and how rude it was for me not to welcome you, well,

Welcome to the board:)

that place looks amazing... but how can they perform rock music in a church? I listened to some concerts of classical music in a cathdral but never heard about something like that... I'd say: I'd simply like ti be there!!!!!!

there are 2 possiblities IMO: either they filmed two videos for two different singles or the same video of Violet hill has parts in Italy and parts in Spain....

I have the newspaper (I live in Spain), and I've tried to scan the page to you. It's divided in two (my scanner isn't big enough), and the quality is not very good... but I think you can read it if you want. ;)

I don't think they play in the cathedral... The article doesn't say it, and it's unlikely due to permissions (the religious community is very susceptible in Spain). I think it's more likely a venue like Sala Apolo (1100 people), and they've already played there in 2000.

wish i were among those 1000 ppl :D

maybe they will record it?

THE TITLE IS VIVA LA VIDA! READ THE PROSPEKT POST YOU BAD JOURNALISTS! Any way, seems fitting thats its in barcelona, didn't they record some stuff in churches there or something?

I agree! Im sure its just "viva la vida" but people keep assuming that its just the shortening of the title...

maybe they're filming like, a dramatic ending to violet hill in the church,

that would be cool.

it wouldn't be much good having a gig there though

the acoustics of the room would be horrible

EMI has confirmed the full-length title now, just in case you missed Coldpatrix's thread.:) VLV is just a shortform. It's official!:D

I beg to differ, Age Six. The acoustics in cathedrals are beautiful...even for rock music. I suspect that's what's going to give this album a lot of it's different sound since rock in a cathedral isn't typical. It will have an almost ghostly quality, imo...can't wait to find out!:D (I'm not arguing with you, just offering a differnt opinion.:))

Wish I were there too! I can't wait to listen to the new stuff.

I'll do my best to be among those 1000 people! :)

:) it's cool, everybody has an opinion, and you could be right.

It'll definitely be interesting to find out.

and since they were experimenting in churches when they were recording

you could be right about that new sound.

I hope so. The trick is in the mics and how you place them...it could come out warm and haunting, or tinny and cave-like...but I think Eno's had enough experience to know what he's doing, lol.
