"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by EMI Music"

It was being given away free anyway!

I messaged Jo Whiley's YouTube channel asking if they could send a copy to coldplaying.com

Yeah, most of them say that, but if you do find one EMI hasn't caught yet, you can just leave that window open for the rest of the day and listen to it all you want.

i am feeling sad that i am unable to help you!

but i downloaded this video with my real player

but i don't know how to rip the video from it ,

so BBC radio 1 always have message boards though may they help you i think.

You downloaded it with your real player?! Surely there is a way to upload somehow, any techno-minded people have any idea?

ugh none of this is working for me!! i didn't get to see the video and i still havent heard the interview from this morning!

It may be in REalplayer's library, in which case there should be a way...

I've emailed Debs to see if she has a copy or if she can wangle one from the record company or Radio 1...... I want to see this video so bad! I'm a spoilt child.

If you watched this video then you've also downloaded it, so it may still be in your browser cache. Look for a file with a name that starts with get_video?video_id=iDuP4HwfBww and copy it out to a folder and add .flv to the end of the file name. If you can then upload that file to somewhere like Rapidshare you'll make me, and a lot of other people, very happy.

Well said fsa - you flipping sexy amazing person :D Fingers crossed ir surfaces. Sorry to go on about it but I'm such a geek that I need all things Coldplay lol.

Jonny: "Ahh, it's a hill."

Thats the most rubbishest answear in the world

:laugh3::laugh3:

I found the file, as I started watching it but decided to finish watching it later.

I copied the file to my desktop and opened with a Aero SWF Flash Player, but when I press play nothing plays :(

have you put .flv at the end of the filename?

EDIT: you could also try converting it at www.zamzar.com, you might be able to convert it to an MPEG or something more easily playable. Zamzar are usually very good at converting pretty much any file you throw at them :D

I tried adding .flv but it didn't work. Zamzar don't accept .swf files either.

:(

I'm not much good at this file conversion stuff, but i'm sure it can be done! guard that .swf with your life!! :D

EMI have taken down Jo Whiley's youtube studio video :stunned::stunned:

Thanks :D

Brilliant Coldplay mayhem today when Chris and Johnny from the band turned up with the single 'Violet Hill'... I felt we learnt a lot from the interview...Ummm...like how passionately Chris feels about Jayz playing Glastonbury and how annoyed he is with the Glasto knockers... that the band will be playing a free gig in Barcelona as well as Brixton and Madison Square Gardens...and ummm...that's probably about it.

He refused to play in the record himself...refused to say what Violet Hill is about ...refused to answer pretty much any question. They talked about how Brian Eno taught them a lot about life, sex and music and had helped them to make the album they wanted. And they said that they wanted this to be the album that it's ok for people to like. At one time I used to dread interviewing the band because they are so contrary - by they, I guess I mean Chris. You ask questions and you get questions back...but honestly, these days they are the most fun to be around and this morning's chat was full of much laughter...

It must be incredibly scary hearing your song going out on the radio for the very first time - in fact Chris left the studio while it was playing. But the band should be confident - my instinct tells me this is the best thing they've ever done and this album is set to be a classic...

^^ I really dont understand why .. :(

does anyone know if the whole track was in the video? maybe thats what they objected to. I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't want to keep an interview up there, building some more hype

yeah these are things that I don't understand

haah and I didn't get to watch it

It was only the chat before and after the track - no track at all!

Ian... you must press some buttons, twist some knobs and wangle with all your strength to find this for us.

So they got rid of just interview? I don't remember the guys saying anything anti-emi!!!

FLV files can be played with VLC player or, even better this:-

http://www.applian.com/flvplayer/

Once you've installed FLV Player any files with that extension will be associated with it and play when you double-click them.

If you have the original file, I would prefer that to be uploaded. People can then convert it to whatever format they want.
