What dyou think it will be like?.Back to the first 3s sounds or keeping moving in a new direction?.

I think they will do something totally different!!! Keeping their new sound or going back to the old sound depends on many things!!! However, I would like something totally different! Maybe a little bit of the old sound and a little bit of the new sound!!

I'm not supposed to tell anyone, but they've asked me to start writing material for their 5th album for them, while they go on tour. I've actually finished about half of the songs already, so while I'm feeling generous you can PM me and I might send you a few snippets

i think its going to be a mix of X&Y and Rush of Blood. A few spacey kinda weird songs but mostly rock and piano again. That was their most successful album and I think theyll get all this experimentation out of their systems.

Then again, when Radiohead released Kid A (which has some comparisons to VLV) they then released Amnesiac, which sort of continued Kid A. Maybe theyll release a continutation of VLV, you know keep this theme and style rolling.

It isn't unusual for a band to have left-over songs from album sessions, after-all, take Amnesiac for an example, it's just all the left-over bits from the Kid A sessions.

Yeah, I wouldnt at all be surprised to see a new album with this tracklisting:

1. Poppy Fields

2. Rainy Day

3. Famous Old Painters

4. Glass of Water

5. Prospekt's March

6. Leftrightleftrightleft

7. Mystery Song

8. Mystery Song

9. Mystery Song

10. Mystery Song

Of course not in that order, and we'd find out the Mystery Songs during the summer of '09.

Yeah!:D

As long as the band don't feel they're being lazy using songs they wrote 3/4 years ago which may not be relevant to "where the band are at the moment" and which may not have any relevance to how they feel as humanoids.

I don't expect LP5 to be a step back towards the older sound; Chris said that they were "done" with the sound of the first three albums, which apparently were a trilogy of sorts.

If Viva La Vida is ridiculously experimental, LP5 will probably find the band mellowing their experimentalism out. If Viva La Vida is somewhat experimetal and still successful, they will likely become more experimental with the next release because they know they can get away with it.

LP5 will be out in 2011 that's for sure, and it will be their shift to death metal :laugh3:

LOL! Death metal rears its head once more!!

Er...Semy...what's all this 'I' crap. All of a sudden you forget your songwriting partner when there's glory to be had?? As soon as the spotlight's on you want it all to yourself?? WE were hired to write LP5...but I guess you don't need me anymore, so I'm going back to writing the follow-up to In Rainbows!:bigcry:
