flying a kite

^It's been too long since I've done that.

 

When I was a kid I attached a kite to my dads fishing wire, got it up a few hundred feet and then sat back as the winds did their business and watched as the wire uncoiled itself and the kite became a tiny speck in the sky, then eventually the wire snapped and fell all over my neighbourhood.

Sounds like fun! :)

Did that once with kite string (wire, sheesh, what are you a Franklin or something?)

 

But here, the string broke in the middle, and the kite few off to the north along with the string, and oddly the string got caught in the top shingles of the neighbors barn roof, kite still flying! It was the strangest thing to see, of all the luck.
