August 12, 201114 yr I love the first album. That's probably part of why I don't like LP2 so much. They're so different. Some people like LP2 more, which is fine. I think I remember an earlier post in this thread from someone about how "For Emma" was "emotionally exhausting" for them, and so this was better in that aspect. I have the opposite mentality; I love music that has that kind of emotion, so when I didn't find so much of it in "Bon Iver," I was kinda disappointed.

August 14, 201114 yr I was dissapointed at fist because For Emma was exceptional and beautiful and one of a kind... It's never gonna happen again. Let's just get that in our heads. LP2 took a while to grow on me and it's still growing but I appreciate it and love it almost as much as FE,FA, and it's another gem from a great band.
August 14, 201114 yr I like Flume too! You'd have to know Eau Claire to know when a long lost buried flume can surprise you! ;)
August 16, 201114 yr Bon Iver > For Emma. Which is crazy, because For Emma is easily a five-star album.
August 16, 201114 yr Bon Iver is definitely my favorite album of the year, but I honestly couldn't pick one over the other. They're both unbelievable albums.
August 18, 201114 yr [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWcyIpul8OE]Bon Iver - Holocene (Official Music Video) - YouTube[/ame] omg :bigcry: more about it here: http://worldmusic.nationalgeographic.com/view/page.basic/article/content.article/bon_iver/en_US
August 18, 201114 yr Isn't it just beautiful? I absolutely love it. Makes me want to go to Iceland..
August 19, 201114 yr I really think the sound of the needle rising and settling onto the vinyl, then that little crackle, paired with the beginning chords of "Perth" is the greatest sound in the world..
August 19, 201114 yr Hah, well that album just sounds like it was made to be played on a turntable. For Emma, too. They're so perfect..
August 20, 201114 yr Justin's perfect  THIS. Yeah, he and James Blake have something going on in 4 days. I don't know anything about it but anything Justin's in gets me excited.
August 21, 201114 yr :laugh3: He's George Washington's neighbor on Mt. Vernon. You know, just in Vernon. :P
