i don't know why this tv presenters will not even have some sense to show such great live shows where they even played some new songs!

did anyone happen to record the skit as well as the performance?!

 

the performance was pretty good, i'd say; they played VH and VLV. VH was very good, but i think VLV will never be that great live. it's just a song that sounds ten times better on record. chris's voice was fine in VH, but sqiffy in VLV, so i think it's just a hard song to sing when you're not singing it into a $5,000 microphone and you're jumping around and paying attention to other things as well.

 

but my absolute favorite part was the skit! it was past midnight and the rest of my family was asleep, but i laughed out loud like no other. just the sight of will shouting "thanks a lot for leaving me here, you IDIOTS!!!" absolutely killed me. i hope that someone recorded it/it'll show up on youtube, because i found it hysterical.

yeah, he was! it was brilliant. i mean, it was mostly brilliant because it was THEM, but i still died laughing.

 

since it doesn't seem like anyone described the skit yet, i'll do it here. hit me if someone already did this, but i didn't see it in this thread.

 

in the JKL studio, chris, guy, and jonny walk up to the security guard desk. chris says "hello, we're coldplay, and the last time we played here in 2003, we seem to have left something behind." the little security guard lady asks "name?" and chris goes "um, COLDPLAY" (in a "duh" like voice :P). the seciroty guard lady goes through about four different random-ass nicknacks, like a statue of wrestling clowns and the guys all say no and shake their heads until chris says "no, it's not any of those things. it should be a bald guy, about this tall..." and the security guard lady says "oh. you mean this dude?" and pulls will up from underneath the desk by the lapel of his jacket and will pops up. he turns to the other three and shouts "thanks for leaving me here, you IDIOTS!"

 

now, i was laughing so much that i don't remember the end as well, but chris somehow decides that they don't want him back and he, jonny, and guy take the statue of the wrestling clowns intstead of will and walk away, and will gets pushed under the desk again.

 

it wouldn't really have been funny if it wasn't coldplay, i don't think, but because it was them, it was priceless. oh man, i think i woke up my dad with my laughing.

HE might have said this because there were actually people watching from seats on rooftops at the concert at Jimmel...he even asked how they were before the show and they cheered and he thanked them at then end.

That's right. There were people watching the show from the top of the parking structure located next to stage setup. Chris changed the lyric because of them. :)

I've just got round to watching the first two videos on this thread and have to say, seeing them live is going to be fucking fantastic, isn't it? JB especially was fecking top notch on Violet Hill, Christopherson's dancing made me smile more than usual, and I LLLOOVVVEE how Chris kept saying "OK!!" in Viva, and Will's drumming, and Guy, so sweet!
