Fixed
Chris and Jonny were just on MTV News talking about the Jay-Z/Glastonbury debate. Jonny said: "I cant understand what all the fuss is about" (laughing) While Chris said: "It's like Mozart playing somewhere in Camden (didn't catch the name) - you wouldn't complain, you'd go and see him cos he's brilliant! It's a case of unfamiliarity - people that don't like him (Jay-Z) are probably c***s" (laughing) I probably got that quite wrong, but that's sort of basically what they said :P Perhaps that was part of a longer interview they recorded that will surface soon, so keep your eyes and ears peeled! Also, anyone that is able to rip that and upload it, please do! It's on the MTV News segments in between programmes on MTV.
JPB
Chris and Jonny were just on MTV News talking about the Jay-Z Glastonbury debate. Jonny said he cant understand what the fuss is about, while Chris compared it to "Mozart playing somewhere in Camden - you wouldn't complain, you'd go and see him cos he's brilliant! It's a case of unfamiliarity - people that don't like him (Jay-) are probably c***s". Good ol' Chris 'n' Jonny. Well, least this time they didn't kiss or anything lol. RunForTheHills
Haha, how typical of Chris to say something like that. I think he might like Jay z a little too much, maybe. At least Jonny sees sense! :P

the_escapist
I agree with the audience! What the fu*k is doing Jay-Z on Glastonbury? He's a good musician but not head-lining Glasto material! Hopefully next year Glasto will feature Coldplay!!!
Saffire
Camden is also a small town in SC near me. But I'm sure it was prolly named after the place in Britain.

TylerMac24
Camden is also a small town in SC near me. But I'm sure it was prolly named after the place in Britain. WTF?!?! There's another Coldplay fan in this s***hole also known as South Carolina? That's awesome. As far as contributing to the topic, surely Chris is talking about Camden, NJ since Camden county is so close to New York.
ApproximatelyInfinite
haha, i would bet $100 that chris was talking about camden, london. that's where coldplay got their start, and they used to live and go to uni there. it's a really arty sort of neighborhood that you wouldn't see someone like jay-z walking around in (or coldplay now, for that matter), so i think it was camden, LONDON :P i can't say i know a whole lot about glasto, so i don't know what to say about jay-z playing it. i guess i have to agree with jonny and say "what's the fuss about?" Mimixxx
There's hundreds of bands playing glasto. If you don't like Jayz go to one of the many other stages. Is silly.
RedGirl76
I think the whole Jay-Z argument is mental. He is arguably the biggest Hip-Hop star in the world: why shouldn't he headline? He's a way bigger star in the UK than Kings of Leon, who are also headlining. And as for The Verve - does anyone really care anymore? I think they're the big gamble of the weekend. No-one has heard any new material from them. Are they going to play all of Urban Hymns twice. Lay off, Jay-Z, he's more than up to the task of taking on Glasto! Fixed
Hm, The Verve have played about 2 or 3 new tunes so far and they seem to have gone down well. I think people still do care. And they'll play Bittersweet Symphony so that'll please the rabble, I mean festival-goers, for sure lol. Yeah I think Chris was talking about Camden, London - it was possibly the Forum that he mentioned...? I can't remember, and I've not seen it broadcast again today so aint been able to check.
