The QPR result means Spurs are now looking steady in 3rd place, AVB is doing really well there but I think the squad suits him better, as well as the fact that the first team choices are a lot more obvious then they were at Chelsea (Not that he doesn't deserve credit for everything else he's doing).

Liverpool can't complain, I think they were around 12th this time last year.

However Newcastle can complain, I have no idea what's happening but for whatever reason our players are never 100% committed throughout a match, there are patches but overall we're just average in nearly every game. It's annoying to see because I don't think we've been as bad as the other teams around us, but also have no reasons for us to be doing well, I think teams don't look at Newcastle as underdogs after last season and they come to St James expecting a fight that we just aren't putting up.

i am pleased newcastle lost ..

Mario Balotelli & Roberto Mancini 'training ground bust-up'

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli appears to have been involved in a training ground bust-up with manager Roberto Mancini.

A picture agency has released photographs it says were taken on Thursday morning of the pair having to be separated by staff and team-mates at Carrington training ground.

City have declined to comment.

Mancini is expected to answer questions about the incident at his media conference on Friday morning.

The pictures appear to show Mancini shouting and gesticulating towards Balotelli.

One photograph shows the pair face to face with Mancini pulling Balotelli's training bib, while in another, the striker appears to be pulled away by a member of staff.

The 22-year-old has been involved in a series of controversies during his time at the club.

Mario Balotelli's 2012-13 season by numbers

•10 starts in all competitions

•11 substitute appearances

•Three goals in all competitions

•One Premier League goal

•Three yellow cards

In December, Balotelli was set to take City to a tribunal over a two-week fine for missing 12 games last season because of suspensions.

He later dropped the action and accepted the punishment, prompting Mancini to say he was willing to give the striker another chance .

In November, Mancini said that he had no intention of selling the player despite his tempestuous relationship with his fellow Italian.

Balotelli cost Manchester City £24m when they signed him from Inter Milan in August 2010.

Last season he scored 17 goals in all competitions for the club but was sent off twice.

After his red card against Arsenal in April, Mancini cast doubt over Balotelli's future at the club saying he didn't "have any words for his behaviour."

class City back in the news again.

So all the times you were wishing Newcastle good luck and congratulating them actually WERE un-genuine, like I said.

Like what's the point in you even thinking anything? It just changes 10 minutes later.

class City back in the news again.

Do you realise people with a fairly passive interest in football have told me they only visit this thread when you don't post your bullshit in it?

That is fantastic.

It will be like Tevez last year, they will look for another club to take him off their hands, but they won't be able to meet his wage demands, so the move will fall though.

i dont have any real reason for wanting Newcastle to lose.

Have you ever been sober?

Hello KOPITES!!!

I hope Reds will be on Top-4 in end of the season. We can beat Whiskey-nose's team next gameweek.

Liverpool will probably get top 6 this year, they haven't got enough talent to break the top 4.

Some "giant" killings in the FA Cup today

Luton beat Wolves, Macc beat Cardiff, Oldham defeat Nottingham Forest, Brighton 2-0 Newcastle

Chelsea putting 5 past Southampton with Ba getting his first 2 goals for Chelsea, Will Chelsea make it 5 wins in the past 7 years?

Pardew completed the task of getting us knocked out of the cup and thus less fixtures to worry about, but there's still a lot to worry about.

Suarez to the rescue as Liverpool, with a handy goal to beat non-league Mansfield 2-1.

Better than having to come from behind twice to beat Havant and Waterloovile a few years back.

Pardew completed the task of getting us knocked out of the cup and thus less fixtures to worry about, but there's still a lot to worry about.

just proves the europa cup is toxic, newcastle having to start their season so early.

Didn't I read that Stoke got something like £5 million for getting to the last 16 of last year's Europa League?

And if they got 3 more points in the league to move up a spot in the table they would have gotten £6 million extra in "merit" payments from the league.

If true, it shows how much the Europa League earns teams, peanuts.

But it's peanuts which build up the team's seeding for any future competition ;)

Anyone watching the Ballon d'or?

Megan Rapinoe should be a women's nominee. She's better than both Morgan and Wambach imho.
