Yeah seriously... Paul Rodgers? The dude from Bad Company? That's an insult. And they didn't even get all of the living members of Queen for that tour. Where's John Deacon?

It's a waste of time. They should just let the band rest in peace. Why go and spoil the memories by doing something like this?? I mean - can you imagine Coldplay continuing with a replacement for Chris?? I don't think so!! :)

 

I have nothing against Queen per se - just want to remember them as they WERE!!

Apparently the new Queen tours will bring Brian May and, the other guy, a very small fraction of the wealth they already have. So the whole thing is pretty damn pointless but hey- there are a LOT of Queen fans who just want to hear the songs again. It may be in a crappier environment (Considering nobody can be as charasmatic as Freddie Mercury or have the vocal range) but still, it just keeps their legacy going a little.

 

OR its destroying it, whatever.

Ive heard them @ paris 2005, (I downloaded the whole concert) and its ok,,, but I also think they should have let queen die with freddie and just put in another band and play like 'queen' covers :P

Correct! It would amount to exactly the same - in fact, it would probably be better to have a cover band with a good Freddie impersonator rather than having someone who looks completely different!

I remember my dad always listen to them when i was about 9.It was his favorite band and because of it I listened to them too.I thought they are so cool.I still do :wacko:

yea their music has stayed popular which is great cause my parents used to listen to them as well and then as i got older and more into music i started to enjoy them more and now im pretty much hooked...especially their live cds...
