Chris' lower register

Featured Replies

Absolutely phenomenal! He really should use it more, as the pure vocals on Yes are some of the best in the entire album.

but i am one of his falsetto liking fans and also his low register singing as well!

i love it and yeah that really sounds sexy as he sings like that to me!

But Yes is really my favorite out of the new album songs!

And Lost and Life in Technicolor too!

His lower register turns me on.

:embarassed:

Haha, but seriously, he really should sing like that more often.

I love his falsetto, but he rarely gets to sing that low.

It's nice to have a few more of those songs.

;)

the lowest guitar note in Yes is the Eb.. so probably his voice not much lower than that.

Forgot to mention, it also reminds me of God Put a Smile Upon Your Face.

Impressive, most impressive.

His Falsetto worked well in his older songs where they used Majestic Guitar riffs like Clocks, Talk, or Speed of Sound. So long as he sounds good in his music, he can do whatever.

Chris singing in the lower register=SEX VOICE:wink3:

Singing out loud....and lowwwww,

....makes me shiver.:wink3:

This is just asking for pervy comments :dozey:

Yeah, I'm just now realizing that... :laugh3:

Just for the record, I wasn't talking about his voice that way, folks.

My mate reckons Yes is ruined by the low registrar. Im inclined to disagree Chris's voice always sounds like its straining Yes it actually sounds comfortable for him.

His low voice makes me want to grind on him..... it makes you want sex....

LOL! funny thread. Seriously though - Chris going from tenor to barritone is a good thing IMO. It will make for more variety on future albums and he will be less likely to just hand the singing duties over to us fans at the stage shows. Not that we wont be singing our voice boxes to shreads anyway!!! :D

Yeah, I always thought he should use his lower voice and even his tenor voice a lot more after X&Y sunk in. He has a good range, and he can sing high and low notes very well - but I think his falsetto can get a bit annoying at times. Its probably the main reason why I don't like the songs Fix You and Proof as much as some of the others... it can get a bit grating. But he's definitely taken steps forward on this album - Even the falsetto part on Violet Hill is tolerable, maybe because he's actually singing it with some passion (as apposed to some rather lifeless singing on X&Y). On DAAHF, his high singing actually suits the song very well, because it matches the delicate piano at the beginning.

But yes, in short, I like Chris' voice better on this album than on X&Y.

i LOLz :laugh3:

as much as i love the falsettos used often in the music...if Chris can sing well in the lower octave ranges (which he CAN!), then he should use it more often too! :)

His low voice makes me want to grind on him..... it makes you want sex....

Ha....so true. That was my first impression of Yes.

Love the low voice. :wink3: Actually, I love it when he uses his whole range. Falsetto always sounds best when it's used very sparingly.

It's funny though, talking to people and noticing reactions and things, guys almost always wonder what the deal with "Yes" is or complain that it wasn't that good or there wasn't anything special to it.

The girls meanwhile are too busy swooning to say much... :sneaky::laugh3:

i know! it just makes you... want to touch yourself.

lmao, i'm totally kidding.
