Where would coldplay be after 10 years?

Featured Replies

Every song they make seems timeless --- the album parachutes may be 8 yrs old but it really can fit to the music of 2008...

To prove this the last 3 albums of coldplay are still charting in US and the UK all close apart and sales are still adding up worldwide.

In the next 10 yrs... where would coldplay be after its explosive success?

Will they fade in with time just as Oasis has?

Will all members still be intact just as U2 has?

Or Will they be the Biggest band ever?

Make your own predictions... let us see after 10 yrs.... we may never know.......

:D

i think that if they can still remain as passionate about their music and keeps on wanting to improve, they will be BIG..

Even though their new album is something new world loves them more than before the album. I think they will be HUGE in next 10 years. And if for some reason they walk away from music they will always be #1 in my world.

it scares me to think they won't be around in another ten years. i really hope thats not going to be the case. based on what phil has said it seems like the band has an exit strategy...hopefully the fans adorn them with enough love that they don't want to leave or they just want to keep playing. ive never liked a band and had them retire or go away, and i really hope it never happens.

but in ten years...i think they'll still be making music. they'll have released three more normal albums and two live albums that will be absolutely classic. they'll definitely be the biggest band in the world as U2 will likely be done or over (NO THAT COULD BE THE BAND I SEE GO...NOOOOOO). each record will come in with a newer more innovative sound (without going off the deep end) that will start to show the self thought demi-god critics that Coldplay aren't so bad after all.

if that was the case...id be pretty damn pysched.

COLDPLAY'S GONNA LIVE FOREVEEEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think what most of the time seperates a band is the lead singer and how the lead singer just wants to become a solo artist and do other things.................and in my opinion thats the only thing that can seperate coldplay but seeing how chris loves being in the band i doubt they will seperate anytime soon.......soooo............VIVA COLDPLAY FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Producing many versions of "42" because on that time they're already 42 years old... :D

Yeah I am waiting to see them become legends by then and im still alive... i hope ill be 27years old by then and still loving them.!!

"Producing many versions of "42" because on that time they're already 42 years old... "---> this line is pretty funny yeah and i love 42!

Coldplay will still be huge in 10 years time.

They might be the biggest band in the world, but I guess that depends whether U2 are still around or not...

I can't see Chris doing a solo album. I think he knows just how important Jonny, Will, and Guy are to him.

I know that most people think Coldplay is Chris only, but what makes them so great is all four equally. If one is missing, it just won't be the same.

Hopefully they'll still be making records and touring! But if they want to call it a day in the next ten years, I wouldn't mind, I know they all have families and stuff. We still have some great stuff to listen to. :D

i agree with that.

I was actually thinking about how rare it is for bands to stay completely in tact for long periods of time and if one of them would ever leave. Can you imagine!?!?! They just wouldn't be the same band.

All of them will be in their 40's and still rocking!
