The other day at lunch my friends were calling the new student at my school 'gay' because he wears a peacoat and argyle. :angry:

 

That made me mad, if anything I wish that more guys dressed like that! HATERS TO THE LEFT.

 

People think I dress gay when I wear nice clothes. Around here if you don't wear a t-shirt and jeans you're weird. I stick out like a sore thumb. I get weird looks all the time but then again I live in redneck country.

Does anyone know if I can turn a pair of my dress pants into shorts? I saw the coolest shorts the other day, they looked like Charcoal dress pants but were shorts, I found a pair that are Jpress but they're 80 dollars and too big. So I was thinking of taking my dress pants to a seamstress and having her turn them into shorts.

 

 

Hmm yeah take it to a seamstress. I'd assume that they'd just trim it and then cuff it in some way.

i needed a pair of new rainboots/wellies because mine were getting a bit small, but i told myself i'd buy a pair when i get to england because a) it rains there all the time, b) i figure their wellies must be the best because it rains all the time :P, and c) it will be one less big thing i have to fit into my luggage and carry around.

 

buuuut, i was in j. crew (:heart:) and fell in love with a really cute pair of wellies...

they have elephants on them :wacky:. and they were 50% off!

 

unfortunately, i have really fat legs, so i can't really fit my jeans under them too well, but they fit perfectly if i roll up my jeans or just put them over, so i'm keeping them :dance:. i'll just have one more thing to lug across the atlantic ocean, then...

 

even though i have no money, i think i'm going to get a few spring skirts tomorrow in my last trip to the mall before i go home. i don't have many skirts that fit me anymore.

Those are so adorable, they remind me of the ocean despite the elephants :P. I was so close to ordering the dark blue argyle pair over the Internet (regrettably to say, we don't have J. Crew here in Canada) but I backed out at the last minute. Now with spring on the way, I really wish I did take them!

my school was so small that all grades were allowed to go to all proms, not just juniors and/or seniors and dates. i skipped it in my freshman year, but i went in my sophomore, junior, and senior years. my sophomore year, i wore a very typical blue satin gown with silver glitter. classic prom dress, really, but for most of the night i wore black converse chuck taylors with it :P. my junior year was THE BEST EVER...i wore a floor-length white linen peasant-looking dress from anthropologie that wasn't a prom dress at all, with a bronze cropped cardigan. for my senior prom, i always wanted to wear an indian sari because i've always been really interested in indian culture, but i don't know, even though i have a sari it didn't feel right to do, since i'm not indian. so i found a dress that was very funky, indian inspired, and i wore that. i LOVE the dress, but it wasn't made for me and the cut of it made me look a bit...plumpy.

 

i could actually get pictures of all of those dresses...hmm. i'll work on it :P
