Coldplay Live's Positivity Day

Featured Replies

I'm declaring today a negativity free day in the Coldplay Live section.

I'm bored of reading the same moans & complaints. Constructive criticism is fine but moaning for the sake of it and not offering a solution is banned.

So, today I challenge you to find something positive to say when you're reading the live threads.

I want to be able to enjoy reading the reviews as I'm copying & pasting them.

Have people been moaning after seeing the shows??:stunned:

nooooooooo. I don't mind you coming back from a show and saying this was bad, or they didn't play this song.

its the people who haven't been to a show for weeks who moan in every live thread that has broken me. My patience has finally snapped after 3 months.

I was going to post a negative comment about people who post negative comments. Thanks Jenjie. Changed my mind.

Stay positive folks!

i am gonna say its impossible we cannot just shut up for others sake. And also some times if we post our objection for which we haven't really expected is nothing wrong and just because we posted it doesn't mean that we are negative.

I think a lot of people seem to be way too "negative" in general.

I do however feel sympathise with those who have no realistic chance to see the band as they live too far away to attend a concert, or who are forbidden to go by parents etc.

yeah i also have that sympathy for them too.

i know how it will be like if you're not allowed by your parents to go for a band you like.

i have posted my comments only about their setlist not changing and no new songs that are played.

But i am not bitching Coldplay themselves. Some People used to come to this forum and used to bitch the band itself and used to post some bad things about their appearances too.But nobody seemed to bother it.

But when i am just complaining about their setlist it seemed to bother all the people.

I just feel very bad here that we people even have no right to ask the band we like to play our favorite song of them and had to be bitched by others for posting our opinions.:dozey:

Well that lasted a little over an hour.....

We haven't said you can't request your favourite song, as I explained in the other thread. And I'm not bitching at you for posting opinions. I am requesting some positivity for a change instead of the same thing being posted in every live thread, which is tantamount to ramming it down people's throats.

As I said in the OP, constructive criticism is a good thing.

and lets look at it from Chris' point of view. He's already neurotic about the media. if he were to look at any of the live threads, his head would explode with confusion. Fan A says its boring because the setlist never changes, I want them to play the hokey cokey. They change the setlist but to put the hokey cokey in, they have to take out twinkle twinkle little star. Fan A then moans that they took twinkle twinkle little star out and changed the setlist.

(and i know these aren't Coldplay songs, but i felt that if i used real songs there was a danger of being accused of picking on particular people, which I'm not because there's more than one person doing the same thing.

Logically, they can't keep every fan happy, and are unlikely to be reading this board to decide their setlist.

share the happiness by posting your favourite magic ball photo in the new thread in Coldplay Live :D

For their next tour, perhaps they could let people vote for the inclusion of one particular rarely-played/obscure song at each show.

Marillion let their fans vote for all the songs on one tour and it proved very popular.;)

im just happy i saw them live, no matter wot songs they played.

I went to the concert yesterday and I felt wonderful. I wish every day in my life was filled with the love and brilliant energy that I felt there.

Is that good enough? :(

well.. I think that Coldplay has been doing things in a really nice way....first, because they seem to care about the fans... they keep us updated with news and blogs, pics, videos and lots of interesting stuff... I really appreciate all the coldplay.com updates...

second, I think that it seems that they're enjoying this tour, which is great... they've been in many places in a really short time, they'll even back to the US to make more shows...

third, I know that not everyone will be happy about the setlist and stuff, but I'm sure they're doing their best, we all think different and we all do like different songs.. since we're to many people requesting stuff, they won't make everyone happy.. they'd need a 10 hour gig to do that

oh, and the only thing that I'd complain for would be that they're not touring this part of the world yet... I really hope they'll include south america in the tour, but they're really busy so if they come in 2009 or even in 2010 I'd be the happiest person ever :P

that's all :D

thanks :nice:

we live in a beautiful world :singer:

No negativety coming from NY today. spread the Coldplay love

Only 7,379,518 seconds until Coldplay come to Manchester! \o/ :D
