Glass Of Water lyrics

Anyone?:)

I've got a little bit but I couldn't understand most of the song:

He heard you could see a future

in a glass of water

...

...

Oh that's just the way it was,

and nothing could be better,

and nothing ever was.

Oh he said you could see a future,

inside a glass of water,

....

Son, don't ask,

neither how full or empty is your glass,

cling to the mast,

spend your whole life living in your past

and nowhere fast.

That is just the way it was,

...

the last line: just glasses of water

Is it just me or does it seem that the lyrics from the Glass Of Water picture have not all been included in the song?

You picked up more that I was able to from it... It seems that its starts off---

There's a (somthing) a clown

and he's a friend of mine.

after "inside a glass of water" the first time I think he says "In riddles or (ripples) and the ryhmes"

Anyhow not sure about these... Love the vibe of the song! Another great b-side from Coldplay... Easily could have made a single on the album!

He said 'I'm losing all the time'

...

...

He heard you could see a future

inside a glass of water

...

...

Oh that's just the way it was,

and nothing could be better,

and nothing ever was.

Oh he said you could see a future,

inside a glass of water,

...

...

Son, don't ask,

neither how full nor empty is your glass,

...

spend your whole life living in your past

and nowhere fast.

That is just the way it was,

[And I think the end is:]

And what I'll be drinking when we're done?

Just glasses of water

Missing very first line but here's a stab at 2nd,3rd & 4th lines...

...He wrote me in a letter,

....he was a friend of mine.

He heard you could see your future, inside a glass of water, the ripples and the rhymes. He asked 'will I see heaven in mine?'

Oh that's just the way it was, and nothing could be better, and nothing ever was...."

...oh you said you could see the future, inside a glass of water, the riddles and the rhymes... ...he asked 'will I see heaven in mine'...ooooh,oooh,ooooh, he asked, neither half full nor empty.....

I'll post more as I have a listen but this vid above is missing the very first line I think and kids need pc for homework...darn rugrats getting in the way of really important stuff!

Scared of losin' all the time

He wrote it in a letter?

He was a friend of mine

He heard you could see your future

Inside a glass of water

The ripples and the rhymes

He asked 'Will I see heaven in mine?'

Oh that is just the way it was,

and nothing could be better,

and nothing ever was.

Oh he said you could see a future,

inside a glass of water,

The riddles and the rhymes

He asked 'Will I see heaven in mine'

Ooooh, oooh, ooooh

Son, don't ask,

Neither how full nor empty is your glass,

Cling to the mast

Spend your whole life living in your past

Going nowhere fast

And that is just the way it was,

....

....

....

....

....

....

Ooooh, oooh, ooooh

Son, don't ask,

Neither how full nor empty is your glass,

Cling to the mast

Spend your whole life living in your past

Going nowhere fast

And what I'll be drinking when we're done

(I searched, twice,?)

Neither how (half)? full nor empty is your glass,

Cling to the mast

Spent your whole life living in your past

Went nowhere fast

And that is just the way it was,

(the hollowest of halos, is no halo because....?)

....The television said it best, the (something)....and the leaders..........

The stars in heaven tonight.

Ooooh, oooh, ooooh (I searched, twice.....?)

Neither how full nor empty is your glass,

Cling to the mast

Spend your whole life living in your past

Going nowhere fast

And what I'll be drinking when we're done

Just glasses of water

Anyone hearing something similar? or something different that makes better sense..I'd love it if we can fill in the missing pieces.....
