alison, i always wonder when you come on at this time why in god's name you're on so late for your timezone...but then i realize you're getting up for work at this time :lol:. i get up around the same time for uni when it's in session, but i think i'll always consider 6:30 AM an ungodly hour for anything but sleeping.

Yeah, I have a sneek-peek while I'm having my coffee kick-start for the day. I love getting up in the morning to find someone has left me a message or a PM, and of course at the moment I get to update this page. Yeah, my hands were trembling as I wrote it... but it's not my fault other people nabbed the days she wanted... life moves pretty quick around here!

I don't really mind if they don't give us something like a video... I'll be happy if I know that they received the postcards and liked the project... the purpose of this was to say thanks and nothing else!

I'm not actually expecting anything more then a post from debs saying package delivered, and that will be just as great cause that was the only intention we had in the first place...

GUYS, I just have to share this: My postcard ended up being prophetic!! See, my second one (the one from my hometown) was a picture of the Capitol and the beginning of the Mall... On it I circled the front lawn of the Capitol and wrote "where I'll be for Obama's inauguration". Of course, since I didn't have a ticket, I would've actually been much further back, but that wasn't on the postcard so I just circled where I could.

 

Well, today I found out that I do have a ticket, so now I'll actually be as close as I said on the postcard!! Even closer, actually... See, here it is:

Thanks, I'm still in complete shock! I've been trying so unbelievably desperately to get a ticket, so when I found out a little while ago I burst out crying and almost fainted :bigcry: :lol:

 

And then I was like "hang on... didn't I write this on my postcard?!" If you look in the picture, I'll actually be in front of that reflecting pool on the lawn :dance: The frenzy to get tickets has been unbelievable, especially around here- imagine the golden tickets in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and then multiply that by a million!

You are soooo lucky!!!!

 

I bet you'll have TONS of fun :dance: .......... and you'll probably burst in tears too!!!! :lol:

Postcards From Far Away Project Info!!!

 

please feel free to move this thread to one of the Postcards......... threads, but I am curious to know what the outcome was from this project!! Have all the cards and everything been delivered to the band yet and if so, approximately how many cards were mailed to them and also what was the bands reactions when they saw all the cards???

 

We dont seem to have heard much about the project anymore, which is why I am asking!!!
