Well, see how many Brits you get volunteering and then work out how many we'd each need to recieve. We could cast the net a little further and say anyone in France/Belgium/Netherlands/Germany could also recieve them, as it would only take a few extra days to then send them on to (hopefully) Debs.

i definitely like this idea. i still hope that debs pulls through in the next two days, though.

 

and i can get postcards sent to me too, if we need non-UKers to help out. as far as i know, traditionally postage between the states and england is pretty damn fast. but if people think i'm too far away to help out then that's fine too :D

I guess you could round the the stateside collection and then send them on...

PS, though: i have an insanely busy two weeks ahead of me, so perhaps i might not be as dilligent as i should be with things like updating the main guidelines thread. sorry in advance :D

we mentioned that the postcards could take some weeks from some parts of the world and also that the band will receive more than 300 postcards!

We should of come up with this ages ago. How long has it been since she said she would set up the PO Box? I reckon its been about 2 weeks? Anyway, if something doesn't happen soon, Plan B will become opperational. Off Topic- The dreamy mood is the best.

It should probably be in the first post since there´s 111 pages on this thread... ok. Im mexican and I´ll be happy to send mines to any coldplaying buddy avaliable :-P maybe a poll for all the foreigners to know how many we are here? then it would be easier to know how many buddies we need...

hey guys, not to get all bossy or authoritarian or mom-ish, but lore and i have been talking a bit about the plan, so maybe just hold off on sending anything anywhere for a few days until we can get some clear instructions out? of course, do whatever the hell you want, but it might be in your benefit to wait :wink:

 

the volunteers need to be aware that they're giving out their address on the internet to people they dont know (everyone's probably very aware of that, though :P), and that as a volunteer, they are responsible for paying for the postage required to then get the poscard to the bakery. if you're only accepting between 5 and 10, i doubt that will be a big deal, but for this plan to work people either need to accept more or we need more volunteers.

 

personally, although the idea is a great one, i'm more of a fan of the "let's just wait for debs" plan, even if it takes until after christmas. then again, both plans could work: the people that want to send them along can send them along to willing coldplayers, and the people that want to wait can wait and send them off when we get word from debs. i have a feeling she'd be safe rather than sorry in any case and wait an extra week or so like we asked her to after the "STOP" date before giving the cards to the boys to let the stragglers trickle in. i think that when she finally gives us an address, the "STOP" date will have to be adjusted anyway, since time is ticking.

This project will probably still be going halfway into next year.
