Chelsea, you sound down? Is this a bit of post-election tiredness? Don't give up now, I'm sure she'll be in touch soon :)

haha, just stressed with mounds of work, i guess. i'm still on an election high :D

nah, i'm just pessimistic because there's almost no reason for her not to have emailed us back by now. i was thinking maybe we might hear something once they go back to the UK after november 26th and are back near home base, but that's SUCH a long wait, and we don't even know for sure if debs is with them (and even if she is, i don't think that's a very good excuse for complete silence :P).

it's crossed my mind (and lore's) that there might be a technical problem going on here, but i would assume problems with email inboxes on either end would have been resolved pretty quickly.

How 'bout this one???

"Person X asks Person Y a favor.

Person Y says will help.

Person X fails to get a response from Y after a few weeks and reminders.

What is person X to do??

Move on or keep waiting??"

or i could change X for L and Y for D

maybe rephrase it in the nicest way possible... like:

Dear Oracle,

what would you do if you asked a friend to help you and he/she promised he would, but has failed to do so and now your deadline is closing in on you, would you wait for that person to come across or would you move on to another ( but less perfect) option?

^^^like it!!!! ;)

but is it possible that she's just ignoring us????? :bigcry:

I think maybe she just doesn't klnow what to do...

This is only a thought. I wonder if she shared the idea with a colleague or someone and was advised against participating as it may encourage future and ongoing requests...not just from this fan site but maybe from others, as well, and start a precedent? Again, just a thought.

But she should at least let us know either way.

That's what worries me.........

that after that first email saying she liked the idea, we haven't got a word from her......... :\

^that crossed my mind too, and i think it's entirely possible. but that wouldn't explain her total silence, because she does owe us a few lines of explanation, no matter what the final verdict is. i was actually surprised she agreed to help us in the first place.

i wonder if she'd have to check her helping us with anything, though. she is the fan liason, after all.

I don't think she's ignoring us because someone thinks it's a bad idea. If anything, they'd prefer us to do it via a PO Box than via the Bakery address which they'd probably like to pretend thay can keep a secret.

When I originally looked in to setting up a PO Box, I don't remember being able to do it by email. It's possible that she sent off the request, went away on the tour, and hasn't got home yet to find the details waiting for her.

As for the Oracle, do we have to send off a question to be answered. Couldn't we just send a communication to be read. Something simple along the lines of "We made contact with Debs Wilde, she said she'd help us but we've not heard back, is there anything else we/you could do?"

Completely agree, and the last part is a very good idea.

I'll just say, again, that I think after Chrismas is too late. Not only will the project lose some of the considerable steam it's built up, but it's also going to be long, long after Postcards, and the whole EP in fact, is released, which is the band's final incredible pressie to us at the end of this so-memorable year.

She can't ignore us, Were Coldplaying.com for Fuck's Sake heheheheheh

yeah, i think she's just really busy. that or there's a technical problem. and that's a very good point about the PO box set-up thing: if she's really here in america, that's probably exactly the reason. still, in her shoes i would have sent us an update, but i guess not everyone's like that. however, in all...3? 4? of the emails, we stressed that time is of the essence.

i did that to the oracle like a week ago and nothing came of it, but maybe we should all try so they get lots of the same question and know we're itching for an answer from her. tell her to contact lore or something :P

yep

ok doods, i just wrote another email and sent it off, this time through MY email just in case there's an issue with lore's (i don't think there is, but we thought it's better to be safe than sorry, eh?).

if we don't hear back (i think this is out 5th email), then i don't know what to do. i still say wait, but i don't think everyone agrees with that way of doing things.

this is so frustrating.................. :\

what about the King of the Castle sending an email?

i don't know, i don't think that would really have any better effect. i don't think she's purposely ignoring us because we're not important enough--i figure if she has time to reply to ian or jen, she has time to reply to us. especially now that we've made it ABUNDANTLY clear that we're still waiting for an answer.
