That may be so, but it's a bit silly to expect a fan to make a video about their favourite band and for some of the "love" not to spill over into the creative process!

 

I bet the videos with the "We hate Coldplay: they suck" aren't doing too well either! :)

It's not as perfect as I wanted (not enough time . . . :() and it's my first video. I never shot anything before this.

I've been pressed for time, I've had some technical issues, I lost almost all of my video while editing and had to re-shoot part of it, and now I have absolutely no motivation to spend the last few hours of daylight today and all of tomorrow trying to finish it, because some of the newer entries are absolutely phenomenal. :disappointed:

 

Gahhhh it's so depressing, I worked really hard on this, and I know that even if I do finish I have absolutely no chance of winning, because quite frankly, my video skills suck compared to some of you guys. :lol:

 

I'm just really disappointed in myself for not being able to finish. :( But good luck to everyone else who hasn't finished yet and is planning to submit their video today or tomorrow! I hope whoever wins really deserves it. :nice:

Hey, just wanted to post my entry here and share it with everyone. I went thru an amazing creative process in making this. I hope you enjoy. Also, big thanks to YouTube for the 16:9 uploading method and offering true HD quality videos. Here are two links to my entry. One for HD and one for standard def. If you choose HD you will need a high powered machine. I have only seen it play smoothly on a Mac Pro and a MacBook Pro. If you choose the standard def, please click on "watch in high quality" in the lower right corner of the video screen player as the effects shot in our video will be better visible.

It was just a cheap 50 dollar camera from K-Mart that a friend bought for a Uni shoot. It looked great so I asked if I could borrow it and I ended up shooting above ground with it - it has this amazing Super 8 washed out look to it, without any serious post-work required.

 

It records to a flashcard in AVI files.
