Who the hell are TV on the Radio, why the hell is bob dylon and LIL WAYNE! in front of VLV? and why is Kaiser Chiefs album on there and albums such as Signal Fires, Join With Us, Perfect Symmetry and A Hundred Million Suns arn't?

Why does everyone here hate Lil' Wayne?

 

The kind of smear that gets thrown around when publications make "Best of" lists reminds me of the public outcry over Jay-Z at Glastonbury... which Chris Martin hated, by the way.

The fact that the Jonas Brothers made the list and The Killers didn't says magnitudes about this list.

That was aimed squarely at the old fossils who run Rolling Stone and no one else. I'm half American- any broader insult would technically apply to me as well...:thinking:;)

 

But I really do think RS and it's attitudes towards music is a big part of the reason the American music scene hasn't been living up to it's potential for the last 10 or 15 years now.

They sort of combine Radiohead-style experimental rock (seriously, the released an EP once named "OK Calculator" :lol:) with gospel, soul, hip hop rhythms, and a bunch of other random stuff. No one else comes close to sounding like them. "Return to Cookie Mountain" is amazing and their best, but "Dear Science" is quite good too.

Totally agree. Any list with Jonas Sisters in it, is an extremely pathetic and stupid list!...and it doesn't have The Killers in it!!!!....That is just wrong.

i don't love tv on the radio but a lot of people do so its not a terrible choice i get. but boy do bob dylan and rollingstone have sex every night or what?
