SLIPKNOT frontman COREY TAYLOR launched into a foul-mouthed rant about COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN and the band's latest LP during a TV interview.

The British rockers' Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends received critical acclaim when it was released earlier this year (08).

But Taylor is not a fan of the record, or singer Martin - and made his thoughts known in a profanity-packed U.K. TV interview.

He tells Zane Lowe's MTV show, "That is one of the most self-celebratory pieces of **** I've ever f**king heard in my entire f**king life.

"Go suck a f**king ****. Are you watching Martin? Suck it. Go eat a bag of ****.

"I f**king hate that album. It's music to wipe your ass to."

All i can say is ALL HAIL SLIPKNOT FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH.

As if taking out his insecurities on a better band will make slipknot suck less... :rolleyes:. Seriously, it's worse than dani filth. The fact he expends so many expletives simply trying to tear down VLV is a compliment, because if it actually was crap, he would've just rubbed it off. But the fact that he's so focused on it tells me it's probably the most played album on his ipod...music he always dreamed of making if he wasn't so prohibited by slipknot's image.

:edit: notice Chris Martin never insults another band? His humor is almost entirely self-deprecating and modest. Anybody who would cuss out another band like that, is an automatic loser.

I work in a record store and just looking at their album art and song titles usually makes me a bit ill... but now I see the (lack of) brains behind the operation and understand perfectly. When you're fronted by a man who can't create a sentence without half of his words being profanities... well, you've got a way to go before you make art or anything important for that matter.

Dammit. Why does he say something like that? Slipknot is like no. 2 on my lists of favorite bands EVER!!!!! They are so F***ING brilliant!

You may be overstating the brilliance of Coldplay there, slightly.

 

Creators of disposable/fashionable pop songs? Yes.

 

Creators of art? No.

 

Still, the former is a slight greater than Slipknot.
