I was disappointed with the new U2 single. Coldplay wins this one easy!

Hmmm. I'm not a U2 fan - I don't hate them, I just seem to have missed whatever it is that's so special about them. Anyway, I've heard this song on the radio 3 times already today, and it's alright but I still don't see what's so special.

 

Voilet Hill's not my fave Coldplay single, by a large margin, I think it's quite close to the bottom of the list for me, but I'd still vote it miles better than U2's offering :\

violet hill is a millions times better i mean what was eno thinking in saying that this was the best thing hes done with U2 they should have retired long ago i mean coldplays song has a deep meaning while "sexy boots" whatevers its called it just stupid and nothing thats meaningful! i hope the rest of the cd is good

wow the new U2 is very disappointing. Violet Hill wins by a mile. In fact, i am confident in saying that every song in VLV and PM is better than Get on your Boots. (even Lost +)

Well duh, I wasn't born yesterday.

 

I mean how can you possibly concretely make up your mind about a song that has been out for less than 24 hours? And compare that to a song that has been out for months.

I actually like the U2...

 

But it wasn't even nearly... and by that I mean NOT EVEN CLOSE to what I expected.

Im not a big U2 fan but they do have some great songs but i have to say i expected alot more and i really didnt like it......Violet Hill WINS!

i never saw anything special with U2 either. so many better bands than them, and yet so underrated.

 

i think that U2 are just too... pushed.

having heard the new song I have to say it is so bad... They have so many better songs, even though I don't like Bono at all.

essentially its violet hill. you can indeed compare a song thats been out for months to one for days. yes you can say a song may not have grown on everyone, well thats hardly relevant. Get on Your Boots is good, but Violet Hill is pretty great.
