Coldplay's Chris Martin has said that he would love a stage invasion after one of their concerts.

The frontman admitted that he has discussed with the band's management the possibility of some audience interaction, but claimed that he was mocked for his suggestion.

"We asked our tour manager if we could have a stage invasion at the end of [our December tour]," Martin told XFM. "He went away looking away very serious, but we could see them in a room, giggling. He came back and said, 'This is the stupidest idea you've ever had'.

"I'd love a stage invasion, it's not very Coldplay, but it would be great. And I've always liked to leave the stage in a hot air balloon... but it's not possible."

And we are going to do the 'rehearsing' for the stage invasion on Febr. 18th, 2009 then :wink3:

I actually like the idea of them leaving in a hot air balloon. Rushing the stage could and probably will end in someone getting hurt albeit not intentional. The ballon trick removes the injury risk, and aligns with the yellow balloons dropped on the 2006 tour (well, they dropped in Houston in Feb 06) during the concert .....:)

Perhaps a yellow hot air balloon?

Mikejpss- out!

^ Personally, I was thinking more along the lines of "Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground".

We could all coordinate a Coldplaying.Com stage invasion, in which each member strategically is assigned to rushing an assigned point upon the same cue. This would have to include a few members para-sailing from above in order to leave the band no route of escape even through a balloon. Oh, what fun that would be (unless it suffocated them). :D
