30-Jul-09: Rogers Centre, Toronto, ON - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists, Photos/Videos

I don't see why this has to be so complicated. Everyone that wants to be a part of the "meet up", show up at the venue at, lets say 3PM. We could set up a designated area or a specific gate to meet up at.

Most of us who want a meetup are Pit ticket holders anyway.

I'm not a pit ticket holder...I have tickets in section B2, but i would love to be part of this meet up!

I have two sets of tickets for sale:

Section 212, Row 4 (two tickets side by side)

and...

Section 519, Row 1 (two tickets side by side)

Please PM if interested.

I'm in

I won't be in the line-up as I need to know there's a seat I can use if I need to - in A6 - tho I'll probably stand like eveyone else for the whole concert.

But I would certainly be willing to chip in on any costs associated with a colpdplaying.com-ers meet-up (e.g. if printing costs are an issue).

And know what ?? I need me some

DAYLIGHT

Does anyone know the setlist for the event?

We should have a giant container of cheese as a central point. Everyone that wants to be a part of the meet up will follow the smell and by extension, meet everyone. Everyone will also get to eat the cheese at the end.

You can't go wrong with this idea. Cheese + meet up = fun times. ;o

I'd be willing to print some of the flags but as I'm flying from Halifax I don't want to weigh down my luggage too much. Maybe I'll just bring a handful or two.

Should there also be a plan as to when we display the flags to the band. Obviously if we all do it at the same time it would have more of an impact. Do we do it when the come out or after a certain song?

I think we could SO do this.

Yes! Cheese! (But wouldn't that make us "cheezy little fan boys" as derided by Roadie #42 ?)

And we can hope for a really really hot day! If the garbage workers strike isn't resolved, however, noone will notice!

Time to wave the flag folks!

Can we make it havarti cheese? It's the best - someone bring crackers, or bread and we'll sandwiches :wideeyed:

I think that if EVERYONE in the pit has a flag, Chris might see them and display one to the rest of the crowd, and who know, it might end up on their website or youtube account.

What I'm trying to say is, only give the flags out to people in the pit. That way we can make it on the internet.

Oh and maybe put a link on it, so if Chris shows it to the crowd we can get more Toronto people to join coldplaying.com

I agree ^ if the flags are more concentrated in one area of the venue (ie. pit area), then it'll definitely make a bolder statement that's more visible and therefore effective.

I think an efficient way to distribute the flags to GA people in particular would be to pass them out before the show starts when we're actually inside the venue and the people are actually there in the area.

I'm suddenly very hungry!

How are we planning to print these flags again? ;o

I'm gonna print it on A4 size paper at home using my rusty old HP printer which doesn't even have colour ink.

Black and white Canadian-Coldplay flag is where it's at, son.

Hey! I absolutely disagree lol. That's not fair if it's only in the pit, I'm in section B3 & I want a flag :(

Ohh how about people in other sections give out the flags in their own section so it's not JUST the Pit. I'm willing to print them out for my section I guess, wait how big is it, like how many people apporx. in each section?

CHEESE!

^ How many people in each section? I'm not sure but it is A LOT.

And actually, on second thought.... I don't think us pit people would want to lose our spots in the pit after lining up for so many hours to pass out posters. Hmmm we need to revise....

Here's a different idea: what if we made one giant, huge, beautiful, grade-A thing together? Team-work style.

We need to get flags to everyone in the pit so we can have a chance at giving chris some, and possibly getting the flags posted on coldplay.com. For everyone else, we can print our own. I'm gonna print myself one, I'm in A1.

Yeah but I'm pretty positive everybody located on the floors is going to be standing up too, so we might as well fill the whole thing up.

11 more days til the rogers centre. 1 more day til strawberry swing. I hope they do some sort of live thing for strawberry swing since the video is coming out. Something like lovers in japan where it rains butterflies.
