July 29, 200917 yr Hey ya'll, Don't know if all of you have seen this new seating chart (well, I didn't see it before) - it came in the email from the Rogers Centre. http://www.rogerscentre.com/seatmaps/2009_Coldplay_Seating.pdf Ugh, I am in the far back :( Section 124. Oh well, last year my seats were literally at the top of the ACC, couldn't see anything so this is better. But just being there, experiencing all the love of what, 38-40k people, it more then makes up for however bad my seats may be. Plus I shudder at how awesome the sing a long to Fix You will be with that many people :) Getting shivers just thinking about it.

July 29, 200917 yr OMGZ TOMORROW! :cheesy: Unfortunately, I have to drive 13 hours to get there :lol:. Anyone know where in Toronto the band are staying? Where can I go to conveniently see them walking down the street? Those are 100% serious questions! If they're staying in Toronto, I bet they'll be at the Four Seasons. However, I have a large hunch they'll be shooting back down to NYC rather than staying in Toronto: the next day is a day off (and Will's birthday!), and NYC is their US base. Then I think they'll go up to Montreal on the 1st, but I could be wrong. Well, as a green eyed gal I was very appreciative that a band finally wrote a song about green eyed girls (if you notice, all the songs are about brown eyes and blue eyes). :D As for buying shirts and stuff, it all depends if you are adamant about not losing your spot. If you want to be in the front of the stage you must get there early, but if you don't mind hanging out near the back of the pit, you'll be able to come and go without worrying about losing your spot. As for me, I don't mind chilling in the back of the pit with my niece cos I think anywhere you are in there it's gonna be a great spot. :cool: As a previous GA-er, I would say don't even look twice at food/merchandise/bathrooms on your way SPRINTING to the front of the GA section (if you care about being at the front, of course). I would also just adise that the back of GA isn't really that awesome, in my opinion...I was once only 5 rows back from the stage and...you can't see a ton, especially if you're of average or short height, since the ground is completely flat. Since this is a huge venue, I would imagine that the back of the GA section would be worse than being in the upper 500 levels, but that's just my personal preference :wink:. Like if we all scream like crazy will they play more then the setlist was showing? or will they play what is there and then jet?
July 29, 200917 yr Anybody know of any appearances and/or hotel theyre at this year? would be awesome to get some pictures with them outside of the hotel! seems like its getting harder tohu... i remember a few years back they stayed at the soho but not sure if they're back there/.... any ideas?

But hey they do seem to love us here in Toronto so maybe we'll be able to squeeze another few songs out of them. Haven't been on in a while. I can't believe the show is tomorrow!!

They're based in New York City these days and fly in and out after every show.But if they do stay the night maybe the Hyatt.But I think they might fly back to NYC

July 29, 200917 yr They usually stay at Four Seasons these days, and there's one in Toronto, so if they're not going back to NYC (which I bet they will be doing), I would bet on the Four Seasons :wink:.

Most places only have permits to have concerts running until a certain time, since there's so much noise. Also, if they play past an allotted time, the band is then responsible for paying all employees overtime (like the security guards and ushers and merch/food sellers in the venue). I doubt they'd play more than one song extra for us, and even that's stretching it. will i be able to buy stuff after the show? They're usually always still open afterwards :D.
July 29, 200917 yr If they come on at 9:30 they'll probably be off at like 11. They're concerts usually last an hour and a half, I know they lasted that long last year. I'm sure you'll be able to buy stuff after the show, but they might not have all the merchandise they had at the beginning. My recommendation would be to buy whatever you want at the beginning of the concert. I don't think that they're going to be staying in a hotel here, they'll prob come in tomorrow, then leave right after the concert. In terms of standing in the GA area, I think anywhere in that pit will have a great view, from seeing the seating chart it looks like the furthest the pit goes back is like 15 rows. Plus the atmosphere of everyone in there will be nuts.

This just made the pit of my stomach drop. I was hoping to chill at the back of the GA with my niece because I can't realistically expect her to stand in line for 12 hours...and then get crushed up front.
