I guess most of you say that the roof won't be open for a concert, but most of the concerts on this tour leg have been open air, and it's supposed to be nice weather...oh man, if they have the roof open, that will be so cool :nice:.

:wacky: I LOVE JAYS!!!

:uhoh: I mean... I'm so definitely excited for the coldplay concert

It would be really nice if they opened the roof, imagine them playing 'Yellow' " look at the stars look how they shine for you..." and we can actually look up and see the stars :wacky:

just beautiful...

Weather report for that day/ night looks awesome, high of 26C, humidex of 31C. I really would love them to open the roof, maybe we get lucky and they do open it *fingers crossed*

Anyone know how far the stage comes out? Cause me being stuck in section 124, I am at the bottom of the circle and I worry taking pictures will be too hard since I will be so far away and won't get decent quality ones :(

Imagine watching coldplay from inside the CN tower. it would definetly be an experience like no other.

I'm like really hoping the roof is open now...that view is AMAZING, with the tower up there like that :dead:.

I also wasn't aware this place was THAT big :uhoh:. Ah well, I'll see Coldplay anywhere, and I couldn't possible have done GA for this show.

The anticipation is KILLING me (and that’s a good thing!) :D

Hey! Did anyone else just get the email from the Rogers Centre that provides additional/

new info regarding the Coldplay concert?

Copy and paste it here Sassoon!!

Okay 2pm sounds good for me! :)

I got an e-mail from ticketmaster just reminding me about the concert. Like they need to remind me! But I didn't receive any additional info.

I got this:

Thank you for purchasing tickets to COLDPLAY – Viva la Vida Tour. We are excited to host such an iconic band and to have them kick off our summer concert series which also features Jonas Brothers and U2.

Below is some additional information about the upcoming concert. We look forward to seeing you at Rogers Centre - enjoy the show!

About The Show: For our two previous sold out AC/DC concerts, we augmented both the audio and video designs to ensure optimal sound and video quality for all of our guests, regardless of their seat location. For Coldplay, we are adding two 35 x 20 feet LED screens stage left and right, to the open concept stage with runways extending approximately 40' into the general admission area on each side of the massive 80' wide stage. We are also strategically hanging additional audio speaker clusters from our roof to ensure that our sold-out capacity crowd is entertained fully. The additional production equipment is being coordinated through Live Nation from local production suppliers including OPTEX, MVI & Towers who are professional production leaders in the event and concert industry.

Opening Acts: Coldplay will be joined on stage with ELBOW and KITTY DAISY & LEWIS. ELBOW, an English alternative rock band, released their critically acclaimed fourth album "The Seldom Seen Kid" in 2008. ELBOW will perform "Ground for Divorce" live on David Letterman - July 29th. KITTY DAISY & LEWIS, a three-piece band comprising the teenage siblings of the Durham family.

Smoking Policy: Please be reminded that Rogers Centre is a non-smoking facility.

Entrance Gate & Seat Map: Gates open at 6PM, one and a half hours prior to the start of the performance. Please note that you will be subject to a search upon entrance into Rogers Centre, so please arrive early to ensure sufficient time to enter. Gate 7 is available for accessible and special needs. Click here to see the seat map.

Pre-Show Dinner: Arrive early and enjoy dinner at the HSBC Club VIP (Level 200). Dinner will feature a full hot and cold buffet including fresh salads, artisan breads, carving station, chef's action station, along with a selection of hot entrée items and a fabulous array of signature desserts.

Upcoming Concerts:

I also got a reminder from ticketmaster that the concert was taking place (as if I would forget)

They might be disappointed by the amount of recording devices that will be in the arena.

Here's a copy of the email...

sorry, see above

Yeah, that's the email I got. I guess that means no open roof...too bad cos that would have added to the atmosphere of the show...but then again, it's gonna be amazing no matter what!

:D

well i guess the closed roof makes sense, we'd all be eaten alive out there xD

damn mosquitos :P

Btw is anyone in here that's NOT fromt he pit, I'm in section B3. I know someone else who is in that section but I was wonedering if there's one else. If so we can print out some flags for our section :surprised:

Hi there .... my Mum who just turned a couple of years past 60 will be alone in B3, Row 6, Seat 3.

I managed to get her this ticket after I got my GA from Marie :) and while it's a shame we will not be together my mum is not comfortable with GA anymore. So if anyone if seated near her please smile and give her a warm welcome. She loves Coldplay but is a little self-conscience especially of being alone and a little older.

JB

^ You can tell her not to worry, it's all just going be love in that place Thursday night

Ahhhhh I'm so so excited for this now. I haven't seen a proper photo of inside the Rogers Centre yet, so seeing that^ and the CN tower right beside it just gets me even more anxious. The place is HUGE - just imagine everyone singing along to Fix You. It's going to be such a gorgeous night

Imagine watching the concert from the glass floor of the CN Tower. If I didn't have a ticket to the show, and it was open-roof, I'd buy a ticket to go up the tower and watch it from there haha

Dont' worry, if I see her, I'll definitely say hi to her and tell her how awesome she is for coming out and even liking coldplay

lol guys, maybe THAT is why they're gonna close the roof so some smart sneaky fans like us don't buy a ticket for $25 dollars and go watch it from up there

^ Haha maybe!

So the setlist for Elbow is probably going to be something like this:

Station

The Bones Of You

Mirrorball

Grounds for Divorce

Towercrane

One Day Like This

Or that's how it went down at Alpine Valley

try selling it outside the venue

I have tickets in A2 so I have to enter through gate 10. But I was thinking I might come by early and take a walk around gate 6 to meet some of you fine folks.

Anyone have any thoughts on what area they drop the butterflies? I am wondering if I'll be able to get any in my section, or if it will mostly be over GA area.
