So then, just come :)

I am looking for an hotel too. I still don't know if I'm going with my family or alone. If I go alone I would love to go out for some drinks. Maybe we find a Coldplay after party :wink2:

Who needs the band? We can make our own afterparty!

You're on the band's guest list and might get backstage passes! My head would be spinning at this point if I were in your place. Good things seem to come in waves. I hope it is as fun and exciting as can be. For me, seeing Coldplay up close, from a great seat and at a bargain price seemed surreal for me. I felt myself on a kind of natural high for 2 weeks afterwards. My feet felt a little pleasantly numb. Some very fortunate events also occurred for me at my job. It was a magical time for me.

The boys have that effect on people. I was so freaking depressed after the two shows in two days for like a week. I think I was freaking my husband out (and there was some tough stuff that we were dealing with with our oldest daughter around that time, and Coldplay was taking me to my "happy place"). I felt so let down because the meet and greet didn't go quite as planned, and let down because I knew it was the last time for a long time that I'd see them. And I just felt this bizarre compulsion to see them one last time, and I'm so thankful it worked out. Starfish, you had an amazing experience where it all fell into place, and you can hold on to that for a long, long time.

I felt the 2 weeks down time too. I've been to hundreds of concerts and this was the first time it happened to me. And I even was on the Pit ( first row) for the Elevation Tour, (U2), Bono sang With or without you looking at me. Not even that top a Coldplay on the PIT . Well... it get close. :)

Is this normal?

Yes, it's totally normal. I've been to many concerts, too (put it this way, when I saw my first concert when I was 13 - Andy Gibb - Chris was a year old), and the boys have more of an effect on me than any other band. I think it's because they just seem like 4 humble normal guys who like to make music together, rather than some big headed divas/divos. Even Bruce Springsteen, whom I've seen a dozen times, didn't have this effect on me. The first time I saw U2, they were the opening band for J Geils Band, lol.

That's why I check every spam message now. The survey request that gave me free VIP parking for responding was delivered to my spam box.

Seating status: 11 GA spaces in the Pit :dance::dance::dance:; 42 and 34 seats for sale in the L and R Orchestra (are these seats good? I believe that they sunken into the floor with poor views); Sec. 4, 5, and 7 have 15, 2, and 12 seats (with some front row seats, behind the wheelchair ramp) available in Secs. 4 and 7; and numerous seats in the upper level sections.

This looks a little like the Wheatland concert, for which Live Nation ended up holding 2 for 1 sales and promotions. Maybe because this is Coldplay's last U.S. show for the tour, it is counting on more last minute sales. The pit sold a lot of tickets fast in these last few days. Does anyone know if the left and right orchestra seats recently opened up? I just noticed them today, they are tiny little dots behind the pit. I wonder why there are as many tickets available for those. The center orchestra is shown as sold out.

The Pit in this amphitheatre looks HUGE!

The pit has 1400 tickets:o Let's realize that just because I am on the bands Guest List in no way means there are backstage passes attatched to them, I really think the contest would have said meet and greet or Arlenes email would have said backstage passes, so I am not even expecting them:cool:

It's still awesome that you won free tickets, and this way you can share the love with your kids. And move up in the "mom is cool" ranks - a rank I am sadly losing over the curfew battle with my 16 year old son ("but WHY can't I go out at midnight to my friend's house, just down the street" is the discussion we had last night:\)

FOUR DAYS!

Tracy/Martinfan: It's smart to have low or no expectations on getting backstage passes. I think it's likely that you'll get pit tickets, which will be a significant step up from sec. 8, although "if you never try, you'll never know." If they were lawn tickets, I think they would have told you in order to not cause you shock when you got there!

I was wondering about the Reward Zone because I've see some concert reports that mention reward zone people go in first.

Wonder if there is a late night bar or restaurant at that hotel that we can hang out at after? I know I will be way too hyper to sleep right away, and a nightcap or two may help :P

Anyone wants my # pm me:D Hopefully if Dianne and I can locate a bar, like maybe HardRock we can all get together for a drink or soda for the underage:P
