Every day there are messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, sometimes hateful, and sometimes violative of laws. And according to what you said, it is YOUR DUTY to moderate this. If so, seems like you're not doing your job.

Ok, i read some pages and we're having a debate because a thread was removed by a mod because it was offensive for some and others just thought it was hilarious, right?

 

Fair enough, but saying we mods aren't doing our job is too much.I wasn't around when those spam threads were created but i removed like 30 in less than 1 hr when that hipov2 troll took over last week however we can't be here 24/7.

we should remember that mods aren't here just to accumulate posts and look cool like most of us. They actually do work.

Yeah, I know, you guys have lives (unlike me, internet forum parasite and pain in the ass). What I said was just a counter-point to hers, I didn't mean you guys aren't doing your job, because you've obviously been doing it if there's not that much spam/whatever etc. around.

Yeah it certainly was a hectic week for the mods,i checked the online section a few times,but i could never see any mods around,i reckon no invisible function for them.

Lore's post re: the rules sums this whole thing up beautifully. IT IS ALL ABOUT RESPEKT! (Spelling mistake intntional,lol.)

 

Most of us make those sexual, or insulting, or spammish posts that are harmless and fun...even Mods. As soon as you do that with a total lack of respect for the people and the forum, it pisses people off. You can be as silly, pervy, whatever, as you want, just don't be directly offensive or rude. Pretty simple, if you ask me. Most of us were taught that in Kindergarten.

 

I'm not taking sides, and I wasn't even going to revisit this thread, but now that I see some real conversation going on, it's worth adding 2 cents again.

All you have to do is report the post, doesn't matter if you can see us or not :)

A rule for life which hasn't changed since kindergarten:

 

1. Keep calm about life in general. Be especially easy-going about issues which don't affect important issues (this board is a perfect example).

 

We all come here to have a good time and to relieve the pressures of everyday life. So don't make the mistake of hurting others by bringing strife and anger here. Leave them behind.

Maybe now my PM box will get some peace and quiet.
