oh man, i'm super excited today too, all of a sudden. it's like it hit me today: "OMG I'M SEEING COLDPLAY AGAIN ON SATURDAY" :P

 

unfortunately, the weather is beautiful UNTIL saturday :dozey:. it looks drizzly on saturday, so we're probably going to need raincoats. most venues don't allow umbrelllas inside, so i'd say raincoats and hoods only :wink:.

 

i'm going to call the venue later today for tips. i hope i get someone knowledgable on the phone.

technically, i'm not "sick" because i'm on antibiotics and am infection-free. i'm not going to get gross here for everyone's sake, but i'm pretty sure i have something called otitis media with effusion, which makes me effectively deaf in one ear, perhaps forever. i'm going to the ENT tomorrow, but i highly, highly doubt they're going to make me able to hear by saturday :dozey:. at least i have one working ear, but it just pisses me off...listening to music in my car or on the stereo or through headphones is a completely moot point, since i hear only half of it, and the rest is all echoey and weird. i'm hoping the concert will be so loud that it'll reach my left ear :P.

 

oh, and FYI, i promise i won't be contagious, because i'll still be on antibiotics at that point :wink:. even if i'm still coughing by then, i always cover my mouth, and it's not contagious (or H1N1 :P)

argh, i just called the venue and got an answering machine when i finally figured out what person i needed to talk to. i'll try again in a little while, or call tomorrow.

Ok I'm trying to remain *relatively* calm, but the energy from you girls is too fucking infectious!:dance: Really, I hope one of us will be calm the day off, 'cause if not we'll just be a total mess of giddiness:lol:.

 

Speaking of infections...I'm sorry you're not well Chelsea!:sad: But don't worry about the one-sided hearing in regards to the show. My very first Coldplay concert I had an ear infection and couldn't hear from one side--still one the best concerts I'd ever been to:D. (I just hope you get better for general well being:nice:). And in regards to being infectious--puhhlease, NOTHING is stopping me from going to this show, even if you're gagging&coughing&spewing foam at the mouth standing right next to me...my feet will be planted to my front row spot.:D

thanks about the hearing...it's more just ironic that it happens before a concert. i have a feeling i'll completely forget about it once i'm there :D. it's more just the fact that this condition is either going to be long-lasting or permanent, which is a bit of a downer. i've had surgery to correct it once, which means i can't have the same surgery again. anyway [/offtopic] :P

I just did two nights of Green Day, got totally smooshed in the Pit tonight though I also got in the front row and a drumstick. BRING ON COLDPLAY! I was so excited about this Saturday, I did an impromptu happy dance while waiting for the train at Penn.

 

I keep reading that the serious surfing on Long Island is out in Montauk, those waves are vicious. Got knocked silly last year trying to swim in a few feet of water. I know they have a house out in the Hamptons, don't know what part of the Hamptons though. If people on Long Island see Angelina & Brad around, they can definitely spot Chris and Gwyn. It's still off season before this weekend so not too many people around either. Though it would be weird to stalk them in their regular lives.

I am tired today. I think that was my fifth concert this year. Jones Beach would be a nice place to play. Getting tickets there is just a pain in the arse.

is the house in amagansett? i thought it was a bit closer towards montauk, more towards the center of east hampton (where i have a house...but chris and gwyneth are NEVER in east hampton when i am :rolleyes:).

 

just called the venue AGAIN with no answer...this time i left a message; we'll see if they call back :dozey:. i have new information on other venues, however: the similar venue in DC, where coldplay is playing on thursday, doesn't allow people to start lining up (or to park in the lots) until 4PM. if it's similar with our venue, we'd all have some time to kill while waiting for the parking lots to open. i hope they call back with answers...otherwise i'm going to have to dial the number "for immediate assistance" :P.

 

i also just found out radiohead is going to be at this venue on august 3. my poor bank account...:freak:

There's still seats in the GA Pit section, if the dots in the Click n' Pick seat map are correct the Pit section is 500+ people.

 

Amagansett is east of East Hampton on the map, but I'm not familiar with all the towns in that area.

 

I don't see any news about Radiohead touring the US this summer.

I just went to take a look and it seems they expect to fit about 1400 people in the pit. :shocked2: I wonder if that's really accurate... I didn't think the pit would be that big.
