Irvine is no more than a two-hour drive for me, but I've already settled on dishing out money soon for U2, so I'm gonna have to settle with just the Carson show for Coldplay. So should I just ditch it and go to this concert? I already have my tickets for the 16th and 18th. But I can't get enough of them! OMGOSH... Afterall, that means I wouldn't get to the hotel until 1 or 2amish :( I whole reason I booked the hotel was to visit the Zoo and then relax at the hotel...sleep in then go to the concert. This means no more relaxing and no more SD zoo for me. And my concert is in Downtown San Diego, 30 minutes away from the venue. GRRRRRR. I LOVE COLDPLAY with all my heart....but sooooo sad this was announced after the fact I got the hotel. hahahh but I know, it has nothing to do with them as someone else is booking all these shows for them and etc. I wonder if they'll do any promotional TV tapings like Jimmy Kimmel and Jay Leno again...but then again they are still promoting the same album. x_redhead_x Posted March 17, 2009 Share Posted March 17, 2009 awww man i wish i'd known too!! I recently stressed out my parents pestering them about tickmaster to get tickets for Chula Vista. Now this show comes out and it's much closer to us/more convinient, plus i have a chance to get better seats than the ones i have in San Diego... any advice? should i try for better ones and then sell the chula vista ones? the odds of me convincing my parents to go to both are very slim... or should i just stay with the chula vista tickets...? i don't mean to sound greedy, cuz i'm already happy that i'm gonna see coldplay in the first place (:D) its just that the irvine show would be so much easier... Me and my best friend will fly in the day of then fly to long beach on the 16th(where my aunt lives, she is pretty close to where the carson show is going to be) for the carson show on the 18th, i can't wait! Now http://www.coldplay.com AND http://www.livenation.com both say the concert is July 19 now, and not July 15. Makes more sense to have it the 19th, since it's only 20 miles from the Home Depot Centre...not as far to travel. Either way, I'm so there. Wonder if there will be a presale, too. I could have easily stayed at my step-brother's house in Oceanside after the show on the 18th, then come back and hit the Irvine show next day, but the friend I'm taking to the Carson show needs to be taken back up to Santa Barbara afterwards (and she won't be up for both nights). Just too much hassle. You guys have fun stalking the band around Orange County, though. Any ideas of what I should write on it? Hopefully they'll realize it all three nights : D heheh wishfull thinking. I was thinking VIVA LA COLDPLAY and gluing their butterflies from the concerts all over it....doing the VIVA like their sign (white, black, and red) or something. What do you guys think? Missed their 2005 show there, Hopefully I can make this one. Would love to do the double header of Carson-Irvine but don't know if I can afford that, would be freaken awesome though. My husband, well, not so much, so I think I'll take my 13 year old son one night and my husband the other. This will be my son's first concert, if you don't count High School Musical Live. He'll get a chance to see his "real" mom, lol And if I take him to Irvine, he won't mind getting there really early. I just hope I can get great seats for Irvine. My seats for Carson are ok, Sec. All the info there was about the contest is: WANT TO MEET COLDPLAY? Keep listening to KROQ for your tickets to see Coldplay at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and your chance to meet the band backstage!
