Today's Random Poll:

Do you prefer mechanical pencils or analog ones (ie regular wooden pencils)?

Or if you want to be super-unique you can go with the "pens" option.

And for those of you who like puns (cough mc_squared cough):

No, this thread does not have a point. *dies from horribleness of pun*

A pen isn't a type of pencil, though.

Shit. I originally typed "writing utility," but I meant to type "writing utensil." Haha. Brain must have not been working right...

I prefer pens. I don't really like pencils. The analog ones are a pain to sharpen (unless you have a good sharpener), and the mechanical ones have lead that break way too easily. :\

How do you treat an ailing writing utensil??

I dont mind mechanical..but they always break when i write with them it annys me.

So i prefer reg wooden analog pencils.

pens are nice too

Mechanical! I have this weird habit where I have to break the tip so it's slanted when I write, though. :uhoh:

Mechanical pencils are better for drawing, so I picked that.

But I knew some smartass would be say, "you should have put a pen option b/cuz pencils suck hur hur hur." :shifty:

I hardly know anyone that uses mechanical pencils here in England...haha, must be a kind of American thing.

Pencils you sharpen with a sharpener or knife for me :nice:

Mechanical Pencils don't feel the same as the old school pencils.

I prefer mechanical pencils in the body of an old-school pencil

I like a good mechanical pencil, but it's not as much fun as milling down a wooden pencil, and the point - it's always got that 'slanted cylinder' effect, unlike the woodies.

maybe its the painkillers, but Chuck, that last bit just sounded downright WRONG.:laugh3:

:laugh3: And to what might you be referring to, Ms. Kelsey?:lipsrsealed2: My 'umph' has run away, and I must retire to this nice soft, pencil-free bed over yonder.. good night, and sleep well.;)

Anyone come up with an answer yet?

I like mechanical and analog [normal] pencils depending on what i'm doing.
