WHAT TIME WOULD YOU START LINING UP FOR GENERAL ADMISSION??

Featured Replies

Have pit tickets for Camden show, what time should I go get in line??? Whats everyone think??

Is General Admission that hard a taskmaster, then??:stunned:

ok seriously, can someone answer this for real? what happens if i show up an hour before showtime with pit tickets?

^^well, the gates open an hour before showtime, so maybe you should show up an hour, hour and a half?

like i said, i'd seriously line up in the morning. :wacky:

the girls and i are in the pit for Hartford. there is tailgaiting and such but we are leaving NY at 12 hoping toget there by 2 , hang for a while but we want the front frigging row by the stage . i am not messing around with this one so we are getting there early but as Chelesea said we are probably the only freaks going so we may be early but its better than being late and we are allgoing to be together and that will make it special and a wonderful experience. we want good vids and pics to report with

I went at the beginning of the day, for a chance to maybe bump into them

We have pit for Sacramento. I'm thinking of showing up around 3. I've had GA for die hard fan bands before, and its usually a pretty decent spot around that time. I've never dealt with a coldplay crowd without a seat though, so I cant be sure.

My concern is that this particular venue is in the middle of nowhere from what I can see...so what exactly the bathroom and food situation is going to be during the wait I have no idea. I mean you cant walk 5 mile to use a restroom before the doors open.

Who is General Admission? I've heard of General Eisenhower, and General Schwarzkopf, and General Mayhem, but who is the General Admission, and what army does he command??:P (I just just couldn't resist..)

 Ooooh- Chuckster. Tsk ,Tsk, Tsk.:P

What is it with us girls and our fears for restroom/food facilities???

lol I don't know maybe were just more practical than guys. That and peeing behind a bush isnt quite as appealing to us as it seems to be to men.

See Im thinking along with all these others that plan on being there bright and early...I wanna tail gate in a beach chair on the line......early.....I really want a decent spot on the floor. It has to happen!

That's what I was hinting at above, you plagiarist!!:P

say you show up an hour before showtime, what happens? you just end up 10 feet from the stage instead of 3? honestly, the pit is closer than front row seats, so you can't get a bad spot, right? it's not like they'll tell me the pit is full and i can't get in, right?

If you have a pit ticket your getting into the pit no matter what time you show up. I'm not exactly sure how big the pit is at these places though. I've only ever done GA pit at small venues. So your distance from the stage is a mystery to me.

that's what i figured. i've been to atlanta for many shows and unless they rip up the fixed seats and fixed stage, there's not much room, like 10 feet. So, I'm guessing the pit extends the length of the stage. Poor people with front row seats, they'll be blocked by hundreds of PIT seat holders. My thought is if I'm late, I'm on the corner of the stage, which sucks.

yeah go early. But don't wait in line all day and then once you get let in spend your time waiting in line to get a beer before grabbing a spot. I've seen people do that, and it totally defeats the purpose.

and no they can't tell you that the pit is full if you have tickets but you could be really far off to the side and not have a very good view.

also for people who are shorter they want to try and be in front of most people so they don't get their view blocked.

My sister is a regular shorty, where as I'm over 5'8" without shoes. So for her sake we are going to try to get her as close to the front as possible.

Well heck I want to be as close to front as possible too, its just not as big an issue if I'm not.

People, this is COLDPLAY! Grab yourselves a tent, food, water, cellphone, etc. and start the line at the venue 3 days before the concert. I am sure that by doing this, you'll be guaranteed to have front view of the stage. ;)

I love coldplay, but that is not going to happen lol.

For the X & Y Tour they played at Ford Ampitheater in Tampa. This was the only show on the whole tour with GA pit tickets. Was there at 330. Gates were at 6. There were about ...12-15 people there when I got there and It didn't start getting crowded til well after 5. Show up 2 hours before gates and you will be fine.
