For a really long time I thought he sang

in Only Superstition, when he says "some numbers are better than others, no" i had no idea what it was supposed to be, so i just always replaced it with "some mermaids are better than i've ever known." :P

I always thought it was: "And the fog became God," as well.

 

I got so many lyrics wrong in Violet Hill, but amazingly I haven't had much trouble at all with the other songs. Like I've read your guys misheard lyrics and I wouldn't even think that's what it was. You guys have some pretty funny ones, though!

I'm sure I have several more misheard lyrics, as I've never taken the time to look up the correct ones. The one I have the most trouble with is The World Turned Upside Down.

I had to laugh, I thought the exact same thing, I thought it was Japanese that he was singing, I was like HUH?? I was singing foreign too, then when I looked the lyrics up it took me a few times to get that part right everytime it came on.
