JRM has a...chihuahua....??!! OMG :laugh3: very manly.... But I love the name, stupid and funny! All I like for a pet!

I know someone who named his cat 'shut up' ('ta gueule' in french)...loved it! :laugh3:

I saw this movie too! (on theater) I didn't cry (just 'almost') but it was a really beautiful movie! And a true story if I remember correctly...

He was also great in 'Velvet goldmine' and August rush (and Bend it like Beckham, but in that one, he just had to look gorgeous XD)

:laugh3::laugh3: 'shut up' for a cat, that's hilarious.

Yeah he was good Velvet Goldmine, now that movie was a total mind fuck, for me it was anyway. Awww August Rush, i loved!! True Bend it Like Beckham, he just needed to look gorgeous, which he did beautifully. :wacky:

More info from the extra:

Anne Boleyn’s death scene was special. Natalie Dormer is an incredible actress, and the emotions I felt – and displayed – because of her performance were real, that’s how good she is. I wasn’t the only one crying, believe me. She has the poise, authority and ability of a real A-lister. Amazing actor.

And the same can be said for Jolie Richardson. She’s regal and dignified on set and whilst that makes her perfect for the part of Catherin Parr, it’s her subtle observations of the behaviour of English royalty and the inflections in her voice that will wow audiences.

Woow!! He seems to really praise her!!! Can't wait to see her in that role!!!

hahaa JRM's dog Boo Boo

and JRM's fav. movie for me is Matchpoint :dead:

You lucky girl!! Your teacher has very good tastes!! But in 'religion class'??? :inquisitive: Why show this serie in a religion class?? They didn't develop 'deeply' the differencies and roots of protestantism that could be instructiv for a religion class to help you understand the protestantism wave in Europe...

Well, I guess your teacher just want an excuse to watch it :P

I see they re-used one of Anne's Boleyn dress from S1...(the scene she broke up with Wyatt under a tree)

It's looking goooooooooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!!!!

/News again!

There is a new actress portraying Elizabeth I!! Source, our dear extra!

Are you saying that Elizabeth has been re-cast again and is not Claire MacCauley from last season?

"

New actor, and in her very early teens. Don't know her name. It has to be remembered that the new series will be set some years after the last, and whilst the actors can easily be aged, those portraying much younger members of the royal family cannot get away with having their hair "greyed". Wait until you see the actor playing Edward. He's a real star!

As to Anne of Cleves returning, you'll just have to wait and see...

*w* sounds good!!!!!!!!!!! The litlle boy playing Edward already looked cute, glad to see he's also a great actor!!! Can't wait to see him with his crazy dady!!

+1!! I dunno how old you are but it's always akward watching that kind of stuff in school...

Its not the fact Ill be watching it in school, just the fact he knows I watch it at home, he would be looking at me weirdly. Because of course I am supposed to be a niave school girl that attends church ever sunday and doesn't know anything until I get married :laugh3:

I wonder how teachers view us

What??? How old are you???

In here we're not supposed to be that naive since we learn everything in biology class when we're 13  (in '5e', dunno to what that correspond in Canada). Not count the many ad where you see people naked or doing it (shampoo, for STD...), you can see on TV...!

/BUMP!

New Tudor's stuff!!! Our lovely extra gave a SUPERB tale of his last days of shooting!! Seems like you'll see a amazing JRM performance and the Earl of Surrey seems astonishing too!

All here:

Well, just finished three days on location, and am tired beyond belief! I simply cannot imagine how exhausted the Tudors crew are as they are working 14-18 hour days up to six days a week now. Don’t envy them that.

On Tuesday we shot scenes in the Hospital Chapel at Kilmainham, wherein we filmed the trial of the Earl of Surrey, Henry Howard. At one point there were over two hundred extras – yeomen, nobles, and peasants – crammed into the Chapel and I have to tell you it was a sight to behold! David O’Hara, who plays the Earl, gave a powerhouse performance. It was great to see the extras reacting to his speech, and he to their reactions. Everyone whom I spoke to afterwards agreed that it was one of the most electric scenes we’ve ever been in. I won’t tell you what happened, as that’ll spoil the fun, but it ended up being a near – highly organized - riot! Great fun.

I - amongst seven other counselor extras - was fortunate to be chosen as one of the trial’s Jurors, and was placed between two new actors (foreman of the jury and the presiding judge who, as a matter of note, had THE most magnificent costume, and one that he had to be sewn into!), and it was real privilege. We had the best view of the proceedings from our dais, and I was quite glad to be safely detached from the rowdiness of the Tudor London populace!

Wednesday saw the location move to the Chapel at Dublin Castle. There, Kings Henry gave his last speech to Parliament and its Nobles. Jonathan Rhys Meyers, in my humble opinion, gave one of the most memorable – and poignant - speeches of the series. The round of applause we were all instructed to give the character continued after the director yelled cut into applause and cheers for the actor, and it has to be said that it was well deserved as JRM is really giving way and above his all for his art, and the part, at the moment. That boy from Cork accomplished a perceptible and palpable level of immersion into his acting that was formidable to behold.

The set was rearranged afterwards into an inquisition for Surrey in a scene that will precede his trial. Once again, David O’Hara was absolutely mesmerizing, and the tension and atmosphere between the six characters present was palpable. Great acting. Mr. O’Hara is a gentleman of Scottish decent, and that race’s unassuming self-assurance and instinctively confident resoluteness came through magnificently into his character. He portrays a warrior-poet, and you’ll believe he is just that. (I’m allowed to be effusive about the Scots, as I’m part Scottish myself!)

On Thursday, we were based in Christchurch Cathedral, for scenes involving the artist Holbein…and also continuation of the trial scene from the previous days. Christchurch adds the most outstanding backdrop for The Tudors. Its already weighty ambiance was enhanced under the almost magical influence of Ousama Rawi’s cinematographic skills.

As had been the previous two, Thursday was a long, long day and highly enjoyable. There was one difference, though; I was told how the series ends…But don’t ask what happens, as I ain’t telling!

Raaaaaaaaaaaah sounds sooooo GOOD!!!! Can't wait to see those scenes :bomb:

Forgot to say that I was waaaay at the back of the scene where Anne Askew is arrested dramatically by soldiers and a very peeved priest. Her speech is very well written and encapsulates precisely the religious dilemmas and blossoming ideologies that defined that era and which divided thought and belief, not to mention families. Shame I missed her execution, it sounded like a blast!!

Seems that Anne Askew character will be heartbreaking....T.T

He also that there were 15 days of shooting left....!

/BUMP....again...

Tudors fans, where ARE YOU???!!!!!!!!!! :bigcry:

So, news again from our dear extra on the set!! I asked him about our dear Charles Brandon and Catherine Parr, and here his respons!

Suffolk is, as he was in reality, on the ascendant. Increasingly powerful and influential. Henry Cavill is adding a real gravitas to a character who is every bit as calculating as the next Royal advisor. It was a cutthroat world, and they had to do what they had to do to stay in the King’s favour.

As to Catherine Parr; I was in a very moving scene where the Queen met the King on his return from his campaign in France. It was obvious that the King has found happiness, and was another example of the great casting the Tudors enjoys. Jolie Richardson is just fabulous, and has real presence.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh it seems that our Charles will continue on the slipping path of intrigues and betrayal.... I guess this will end his marriage with Catherine.... :\ Hope he will redeem a little before he dies!!

As for Catherine Parr, he seems very enthousiastic about her, I can't wait to see that!!

The wait for S4 is killing me :bomb:

I know I'm awesome but ain't I the Tudoracle??!! :laugh3:

News continues, here our extra talking about the battle against France and Kitty Howard/Elizabeth/Mary.

On the battle:

I don't have any info about King Francis returning. That's not to say he hasn't, as extras are not in every scene so those may well have been filmed without our knowledge.

I spoke on Thursday to Phillipe Zone - the Tudors stunt director - about the battle scenes, and he says they were huge, and fun. I've worked with him previously on other productions and know everything he does is first rate. I've been directly involved in one stunt on the Tudors (remember season two, where a monk is hauled from a pulpit for berating Anne Boleyn? Well, that tall, angry cousellor was me!). The French storyline is big, and probably will run over a few episodes; the fight scenes themselves took weeks to film. It seemed like hundreds of extras were being put through their paces on the green at Ardmore, practising marching etc. and the wardrobe deprtment was full of armour.

There is one magnificent scene that I was in that is connected to the battle, where the King returns in triumph to be greeted by a loving and noisy Court. We applauded so much that our hands were stinging!

Sounds soooooo good!!!!!!!!! Pity for King Francis....I love my king, I want him back T.T

On Kitty Howard/Elizabeth/Mary

I've been in scenes with all three. Queen Katherine Howard is a feisty little character, full of fun but well aware of the power she wields through her marriage. Tamzin merchant was delightful, friendly towards the extras, and she's tiny!!

Sarah Bolger is a complete star in the best sense of the word, and a formidable actress. Her character can be sweet one moment, and ruthlessly cold the next. Ms Bolger has absolutely made Mary her own, and breathed the most vibrant life into her. It's a shame the series can't continue with her story...

There's a new actress this year for Elizabeth, and she's great. Really looks the part. There was a lovely court scene - a dance - where she joins in for the first time, the crowd parts to let her dance, and she was a real scene stealer!

Again, can't wait to see all that!!!!!

It's so great to have these little insights!! The guy is really sweet and answer our questions ASAP. Lovely dude!

Im here im here! Excuse my absence from this glorious thread :wacky:

 Nice Aurelie....!!! what would we do without our Tudoracle?!

HOLY!

40 mil. euro it takes.... shit!

It's so awesome they film everything in Ireland!

Our lovely extra tells us about his last days of filming...lot of infos here!!

Well, two more days filming under our belts last week, both at Ardmore Studios. There were court scenes, dancing and intrigue, and the rise and fall of major characters. And my, how the courtroom has changed. It’s a dark time for the King…

The whole atmosphere of the series has altered to reflect the closing days of King Henry, and darkness casts shadows everywhere. The series’ “look”, now it nears its end, is really quite sombre. Whereas bright colour once dominated, now more muted shades predominate. It’s really striking to walk into the Great Hall, and somewhat daunting. Even though the usual court scenes are still taking place, and the some of the costumes are getting increasingly brighter, all is dulled by the background.

And as one character comes to prominence – gaining turn-coat conspirators on the way – others leave Court under a cloud, and out of favour. How the mighty fall.

Two good days, with relatively large crowds – over a hundred on one, and then almost ninety the next. The weather was bad one day and those are the worst sort of conditions, as wearing expensive – and really heavy – costumes in the rain is neither good for them, or those wearing them! It’s really no fun being herded into a small, damp portacabin with several dozen other extras, all of whom just want to be outside. But does it dampen our spirits, this unfavourable weather? NO! There was a distinct “end of term” atmosphere, not only amongst the extras, but the crew too. And I know this to be true as Ousama Rawi said so himself!

No idea as to filming over the last few days, but will check in when appropriate.

Oh, and when I said that the feeling of the series has taken on a bleak appearance, consider this; its also becoming quite…spooky…

The 'mighty who falls', hope this is not our Charles.... :\

love how Charles means more to me than King Henry :P

But seriously, it's going to be so bittersweet this last season.... im probably going to cry like a baby if Charles or Henry dies  which we know will happen...
