Ok, no news on the Tudors front....T.T But here some pics of new photoshoot of Henry....Well, I don't know what to think of that...The pics are too small to judge...He's hot on some and just weird on others...The last one is the worst (I love men with classy glasses, but here it's just dorky!! And WTF with that jumper?? He's not 80!! And the hair, it burns my eyes!)

Part 2 this week, Monday at 10pm.

Part 1 was definitely worth the watch, and focused on Henry VII and young Henry VIII's love for Katharine. We get the historical facts versus the artistic creations of The Tudors writers.

Henry did an horror movie with Dominic Purcell (Prison break) recently, but it's not released yet...It's called 'town creek'. I saw some behind the scenes on youtube and it's look pretty weird :inquisitive: Anyway, i love horror movies AND I love Henry so...it's on my 'must watch' list!

Charles is cocky in S1 but change in S2 and 3. That'w what I like about this character (yes, beside his hotness...XD), he's the one evolving the most and in a good way (compared to Henry VIII...)

 

Now, back on topic, here some report of an extra on the set of S4....

 

This year, and more specifically this late in the shoot, it seems a lot of filming is being taken up by the "French" battle scenes. There are apparently going to be more court scenes too, and I imagine there'll be even more before the King gets too sick to enjoy them. When he dies, I fully imagine it'll be a huge turnout - possibly the biggest scenes ever - but that's just speculation.

 

War against us...*w* Hope we'll see François Ier....I've missed my king in S3... :bigcry: and all his famous quote...I loved how they replaced them on the show, it makes me smile ^^ "a court without women is like a garden without roses'...or 'because that our will' (??)...'often women changes, only mad men believes them (??)...(not sure how to translate old french...)

 

And more court scene...this means BEAUTIFUL DRESSES :blush:

And as to "working" with JRM, well, it has to be remembered that we (extras) are very much in the background of each scene - as our official title suggests. I suppose in a way it can be said that we "work" with him, but the truth is that we are there to react to direction from the Assistant Directors. Sometimes we are lucky enough to be directly involved in scenes with the actors; in the new series, I have been fortunate in that I've been chosen to sit in on the "War Councils". This means that JRM, and all the main male characters, meet to discuss the war with France...and I'm there too, at the same table, as the only extra. I don't have lines, but have to react to dialogue, looks etc. Some may count that as “working” with Mr. Meyers, then fine. I just felt privileged to be there and gave it my best.

 

I haven't had that much direct contact with JRM, so I'm not at liberty to offer anything but an opinion; he is an intense man. He's also a funny guy, and laidback, uptight, outgoing and intensely personal. Human, in other words. It is possible to almost feel his dedication to the character he portrays. The King is important to him, and that is obvious from his performances. His talent speaks for itself. It may sound like I’m an expert (and I’m not), but he reminds me of a young Richard Burton; there's something indescribably and artistically fiery bubbling away under his skin. Look him in the eyes and that will be self evident. Hear him get frustrated at something and you’re hearing passion, not grievances. I know the choice of him to play one of the most famous historical personages was criticized, but JRM has managed to shake off those detractors and gone on to make the character his own.

I love the pictures, the one pic w/ JRM holding the dog leash for his chihuahua "Boo Boo" :lol: too cute. but I too can see the dedication he brings to the role of Henry. He, I think, does it for every role he plays. I recently saw on cable a movie he did, well the end of the movie anyway, The Children of Huang Shi, i was so moved by it, i had to see it again, unfortunately i haven't been able to :(.

I saw this movie too! (on theater) I didn't cry (just 'almost') but it was a really beautiful movie! And a true story if I remember correctly... :thinking:

 

He was also great in 'Velvet goldmine' and August rush (and Bend it like Beckham, but in that one, he just had to look gorgeous XD)
