Season 3

 

I just wacthed the final episode in Season 3 of the Tudors. This series justs get better and better. The third season was epic TV and deserves its awards.

 

Rhys Meyers fills the central character with the magnitude of the historic and legendary Henry. Sarah Bolger's sensitive portrayal of Princess Mary is heart-rending as she portrays the precarious adventures of faith and royal family in the 16th century. James Frain's pertrayal of Cromwell was stellar, especially in the final

episode. And throughout, Henry Cavill as Suffolk has been one of high points that kept me coming back for more. I think some stars were born on the sets of the Tudors.

 

I have to mention the costumes All I can say is WOW! Wouldn't it be fun to dress like that, and not just for Halloween. But OMG - the dry cleaning bill!!

 

Just the fact that I bothered to write this says a lot about how great I think the Tudors is. Can't wait for Season 4 !!!

+1000000000000 The cast is just brilliant!! I was very surprised by Joss Stone's performance, she was a great Anne of Cleves!

and +1 for Henry C's perf, absolutely fab in S3, very heartbreaking! Very far from the playboy in S1! It's good the Tudors gave him the chance to show his talent ^^

Anyone who lurk here knows I'm obsessed with costumes and the Tudors is just a total fest for me :D They improved through seasons and reflected well the character's personnality. The most striking is Henry's costumes which pass from colorfull and 'fashion' to dark with a lot of lyers (furs, massiv jewels). Suits well the change of mind in the King and of course, help him look older.

As a girl, the women's dress just fascinate me...I post some of my favorites in the beginning of this thread....(the best: Anne's red dress for her marquess title ceremony)

Now I've been lurking (?) in the Tudors'wiki but no news....Just this small reminder that I found usefull:

season One covered the years 1519 to 1530, season two 1532 to 1536 and season three 1536 to 1540.

I'll use the same way I do for watching the Tudors at the time as the US....Nothing can keep me from my man :laugh3: But if nobody is genenrous or interested in this movie, my method will be pointless... :\

I'm definitely interested, but only for Henry's role in it. And I would be up for watching it, if it weren't a horror movie. I can't do horror :sick:

And with the looks of his wound, it also seems like it will be gory. Fake blood makes me feel...a little uneasy. Real blood not as much, which is actually kind of weird :thinking:

But if there are any good, non-horror-ish parts with Henry in them, I will want to watch those bits :D
