The official release will be since it's supposed to be a digital download, and it said in the latest 'Messenger' that it would be available in iTunes worldwide. This is just a promo CD for Dj's etc. I don't believe 'Strawberry Swing' will get a physical CD release, just like 'Life in Technicolor ii'. If you want a CD, you'll have to get the promo CD. They might do a 7"?

This is my one hope for the mix, but I'm not totally optimistic about it.

 

Regardless, the band ought to release it in some form, perhaps even as a website download. That video was such a tease.

The radio edit will just remove the clapping, as the music video version did. The clapping was not meant to be part of the song, Chris said in an interview that they were talking about the song's tempo and were caught off guard when they started recording, hence why you can hear him say "it's a bit too fast" at the beginning. The clapping was just meant to keep the rhythm. In the end, they decided just to leave that bit in the final song.

 

As you can hear in the music video, the dialogue and clapping have been removed from the beginning, and the clapping is gone from the end. However at the end there is now a talking segment that is part of the actual video (and you can also hear a car at the beginning of the song). If you stop the video at the end of the actual song portion, you'll see it's 4:07.

 

So the radio edit will be like the music video version with the car noise at the beginning and the talking at the end edited out. personally, i find this version preferable and will probably replace the album cut with the radio edit in itunes.
