It's just a tribute to something you love. You sing songs you love. No harm in that... Some covers are better than the original (Hallujah cover by Jeff Buckley is one), some aren't. Coldplay do a lot of covers during gigs...are you hating them for that?

Big deal. At any rate, a cover usually constitutes an artist putting their own spin on a song, so it's not as if they're doing the EXACT same song as the original.

She didn't ask for "getting credit" for it. People just liked her cover and it's got big. At first, it was only a b-side but people liked it so much that they released it after as a single. So yeah, bash the audience for liking a song :P

There is a little article on this month issue of NME about Flo's new album. Nothing much said except they already recorded 2 tracks (with sick drums and bass :awesome: ) and that LP2 will be released in 2011.

 

Flo tweeted that she's recording a music video (for Cosmic Love I suppose, since it will be released as a single in may). Here what she said about it:

Nope, nothing specific.... But she's touring right now and she's doing summer festivals so I guess she'll be writing/recording till the end of the year and maybe next spring. I'm guessing it we'll be out on summer/september 2011 :thinking: but we never know, she recorded Lungs pretty fast..so...

Seriously, though. I can remember when the original song played everywhere. It was one of those songs that stuck with me for a while. I love Florence's version very much. :nice:

Flo was at Coachella festival this week-end and she did her cover of Hospital Beds with...Nathan Willet himself from Cold war kids!! She's so cute on fangirl mode! It's really touching and you can see how she respect him and his music.

I've got that issue too :) The article is really good! And YES, you MUST listen to her music!!! (Camille would back me up on this too :D )

 

If you want to know a little more about her music and listen to some songs, just check the first post, I've put some in it ;) and if you want to go a little further, this thread is filled with always awesome performances or rare songs/cover.

But I advise you to look after her live performances cause that's what Florence is all about!!
