I'm not sure which album I prefer... But recently I've been more into Ceremonials. Haven't listened to Lungs in a long time actually :surprised:

After listening to Ceremonials quite a bit (especially after seeing her in concert), I find that Ceremonials is a lot more cohesive than Lungs is. Lungs seems to be a little all over the place and disjointed. Ceremonials, however, flows nicely.

. . . and is as such a bit monotonous and even tiresome after a while.

Flo to release new song for the Great Gatsby soundtrack. You can hear it in the trailer. Sounds a lot like Breath of Life.

 

Sounds better than Breath of Life to me so far. I liked BoL, but it felt way too much like a film score instead of a F+tM song. And it was so overproduced that it sounded really flat when performed live.

I love BoL but I, too, found it too overproduced. After hearing a bit of the new song, I really hope that's not where the new album is heading. :\

Probably not, the orchestra and choir seems to be reserved for these film soundtrack songs. These one-offs are fine, but I'd hate for an orchestra or Calvin Harris or whoever to muck up THE MACHINE on an actual FATM album.

What do we think of the new song? Had to listen to it a few times to get use to it. Lol. I liked the slow beginning and then the heavy guitars began I'm like, "WTF?!" Haha.

 

It's good though. Needs some getting use to.

 

Looks like the album will be more rock.

I just streamed Big, Blue and Beautiful (album), the first FATM album I ever listened to. Most of the songs were not really for me...but I really love Queen Of Peace ! Am looping it right now, what an epic song and great melody !!

Queen of Peace is amazing. Ship to Wreck, Third Eye, What Kind of Man and St. Jude are also great songs. How Big, How Blue... was one of my favorite albums of 2015.

 

Also saw Florence open for U2 in 2011. She has one hell of a voice!

Couldn't agree more. Queen of Peace by far the best song on the album. Instantly loved it the first time i heard it and been listening to it almost every day.
