Jr702
I think it is Matthew because if u listen to his songs they sound more complicated. What do you guys think?
noonsun
Chris Martin because even if most of Coldplay's piano is simpler, Chris has displayed a bucketload of skill on numerous occasions, plus I like him more.

Corkus
what demos? He's probably referring to the recently leaked VLV-era demos floating around the Internet. Sounding "complicated" doesn't necessarily make you better, though Matt does tend to focus on stunning bridges more than Chris. I'd say that while Matt is more technically proficient, Chris's more simplistic piano helps carry a song better. Needless to say, both are amazing pianists. Pseudonym
I find Matt to be a better technical player, whereas Chris is the better composer. It's not easy to write a lot of those piano parts, and many of them completely carry Coldplay's songs. And to write parts that aren't overly complicated yet are still loved years later, that takes brilliant song writing.

Famous Old Painter
Well on a technical level Matt definitely wins but as far as good songwriting goes I'd say Chris.
Mig-El
Mat, honestly. He's a lot better, but Chris does a great use of the piano by coming up with amazing simple riffs and delightful melodies. Muse is a little harder to swallow but Mat plays outstanding stuff with a classic touch.
Fixed
Postcards From Far Away; that's 'classical', isn't it? What does 'better' even mean? Who gives a shit, if it moves you then that's all that matters.
