i never accused coldplay or shynola of plagiarism - if you think i did, where? all i did in fact was send a letter to coldplay’s management asking if 'the bizarre set of coincidences between our videos was, in fact, just a coincidence'! a “yes they are” would’ve avoided all this!

I am a friend of Andy J Gallagher’s & feel compelled to defend him in the same way that you all feel the need to defend Coldplay. I hope you will at least take the time to read what I have to say in his defence. Andy never said that Coldplay/Shynola copied his video – the media have blown it up out of all proportion, ‘quoting’ him from interviews he never gave, creating headlines like, ‘Coldplay in another plagiarism case’ and so on. I know how passionate we all get about music but I have been upset by a lot of the comments that have been made about him. I know you probably won’t believe me after the things you have read this week but he really is a genuinely nice guy! After this experience, I for one will take the things I read with a pinch of salt from now on!

Plus his first point from his last statement doesn't sound very likely to me. If someone asks wether the similarities are coincidental or not, it is not very probable that he will be satisfied with a simple "yes, they are".

I'm sure Andy Gallagher isn't that bad, but hinting at Coldplay plagiarizing is asking for media attention, especially since Coldplay has had so many plagiarism cases in the last year. The media just make big stories out of nothing, it's sad, but it's just the way it is.

He knew that by dropping the name Coldplay into the mix, more attention would be put on the matter...media whore! :angry::rolleyes:

Well atleast he isn't persisting that it is plagerism, he isnt that big headed.

but tbh mentioning the words Coldplay and new plagerism case

to the media is not good, especially when they're just out of the viva one.

i dont even get why he sent the message out in the first place.. even if coldplay management were to send him an email back saying "yes they are" what would that have done...send that message was pointless..he knew the answer already! plus the whole thing could have been avaoided if he didnt send the email out in the first place!
