September 26, 200916 yr In what way? We have another 364 days to give presents, and yet, we don't buy anything to anyone. When the famous day comes, you kill yourself to find a gift for someone. You're forced to spend a lovely (haha) evening with people you don't like, and they pretend to like each other because it's lovely christmas. I used to like it, when I was young and blinded. It's not pretty anymore, it's not funny, and it's getting sad, each year that passes, it looks more pathetic.
September 26, 200916 yr Christmas is over rated but I still like it. Although I do like Christmas Eve better. I always get bored on Christmas day Oh and awesome sig ^^^^
September 26, 200916 yr In my country the presents are for christmas Milica :nice: I don't understand why you hate Christmas... I know, over-commercialisation sucks, but for me Christmas it's not the presents, it's the lovely time you spend with your family, the snow (when there is some :dozey:), the illuminated streets... I guess it depends on who you spend this day with

So in the sense of "feeling what one does not feel", you have a point, especially in terms of spending time with people you don't like and pretending to like them. I have absolutely no time for that sort of behaviour.;) As far as presents are concerned, I prefer to buy them for people's birthdays, as it's far more appropriate, or spontaneously, which means more IMO. We don't make a big deal about Christmas in our family anyway.;)
September 26, 200916 yr You know you're not really helping yourself there Shane... I know, I honestly don't care.
September 26, 200916 yr Christmas time is so amazing! No school, the cold, presents, and on a rare occasion here, snow <3 THIS that sounds so weird to me... lol me too
September 26, 200916 yr But I like Christmas... :( Nobody said you can't. Just don't be obsessive about it, that's all.;)
September 26, 200916 yr Nobody said you can't. Just don't be obsessive about it, that's all.;) OK :( *sniff*
September 26, 200916 yr SANTA !! it's okay Lore I know it's you :D :uhoh: *hides* AHHHHHHHH! Hey Santa!! Heeeeey! do you want some presents? :) Santa loves you too!
September 26, 200916 yr ho ho ho! :escaping: I didn't know Santa goes on Coldplay forums :dozey: As for our opinions on Christmas, the original topic, yes, I think it becomes more over-rated year by year. It makes me laugh how when I go to Target, the Christmas decorations are put up as soon as September. For me, I live in LA so there never is snow, and I don't get the big fuss about seeing your family. Mine is always there. In my house. 365 days a year. A few things I do like to see around Christmastime is all the houses in our neighborhood lit up and decorated, and the smile on people's faces when they open their presents. But unfortunately that's pretty much it. Though I do try to make the most out of every year...
September 26, 200916 yr I don't know about some of you but I celebrate my Christmas with just my close family, no pervy uncles or annoying aunties or cousins you know are a waste of space. That's why Christmas will always be good. Having said that it has lost it's true meaning and is mainly a piece of commercial shit. When I see people going to church on Christmas Day, that is what keeps the spirit of Christmas, not hardcore athiests and businessmen pissing on the real meaning. Traditional Christmas.
