Christmas is just a fucking obligation to buy people shit they don't need in the first place. I also worked in retail and and the people were so rude. If anything the holiday brings out the worst in people.

I love everything about Christmas other than the way it's commercialized.

I'm more of a Thanksgiving girl... the food and just the atmosphere of everyone gathered around the table stuffing their faces. My dad being Jehovah's witness, we've never really actually celebrated Christmas :sad:

I like Christmas because it means the start of the summer break :D

I agree with Josh and Ivet, Christmas is nice, but too commercialized. Thanksgiving's a lot better. Although I don't really like turkey...

The Christmas season makes me really appreciate Summer. :laugh3:

 

The music playing in the stores is annoying, the emphasis on buying crap for people (rather than making it or just spending time with your family).

 

For these reasons I prefer Thanksgiving. Plus you get the food component, which is great. But when I was little I definitely loved Christmas - for all the wrong reasons, LOL.

See, America is the only country that has thanksgiving so its only really Chrismas, easter, or australia day (though there is so much rasism , i hardly think its that good)

Our church uses the Julian calendar. So when the whole world is making a fuss about Christmas, it's not Christmas yet.

 

Blegh I don't like Christmas. I prefer New Year's eve. :p And idk what's it like in other countries but everybody I know gets presents for New Year. Not for Christmas.

1. Christmas has been ruined by over-commercialisation.

2. Far too many people are obsessed with it.

3. Christmas items and trees etc. should be banned from shops and streets until 1st December.

 

All in all, I've become rather apathetic about it.;)
