As long as you are not a cop you're safe....

WEll MOnterrey is not what it used to be, (I haven't been there in 2 or 3 years, though) but it's still a safe city, I mean, just remember it's a big one so take care. ANd about drug wars, the problem is mainly in the border, but at the moment the states that are the most dangerous are Chihuahua, Michoacan and Guerrero. But you don't have to worry about it, even if you go there you should worry about thieves and muggers, not drug dealing.
