How are things in the area? well angie.. i live in mcallen, tx which is on the border.. it sure isn't as safe as it used to be.. but it's mostly on border towns.. now the thing about el estadio universitario is that it's on the outskirts of monterrey.. on a little suburb called san nicolas de los garza, nuevo leon. i;ve only been there once for a soccer game and i'm not sure how the situation is with hotels nearby or things like that. i'll look into it. Thanks for the help. Expedia shows Hampton Inn & Suites Monterry Norte as being pretty close and it looks OK and has OK reviews. It also offers a free airport shuttle service. I live in Dallas TXand monterrey is only 9 hours away from here, since my inlaws live in Monterrey i have a place to stay and my sister inlaw is going to drive me to the concert and take back to the house!!!
