Ahhhhhhh! I can't stay up that late, I've become a bit of a softy because I have uni at 8 every morning.... but I will surely check it in the morning! Fingers and toes crossed for Arcade Fire!!

Also, Parklife was awesome :D

I was working at a bar that was close to the stage Wombats, Darwin Deez, Kele and Dandy Warhols were playing at, it was a tease because from where I was the sound of the bands was competing with a really loud speaker playing crap music near the bar, but I managed to catch parts of songs here and there :D

Also, I got off early enough to catch Cut Copy's entire set. Freaking awesome band, that.

awesome!! i really hope to catch Cut Copy in some form or another over summer. whats the atmosphere like at Parklife? most of the people i know who went had almost no idea who was playing or who they wanted to see. they were just going for a nice day out. so im guessing it's a little more relaxed than most other festivals, at least rock fests.

and wow grace, you're having a big year gig/fest wise. splendour then parklife plus a lot of other shows. didnt you go to BDO earlier in the year too?

a little sidenote. aria noms are out tomorrow morning.

Yeah, it was really relaxed. Which was great for me, it meant people were very generous with tips :P

Also, even though I only got to the stage 15min before cut copy I managed to get pretty close to the front, and then some guy gave me his spot at the barrier. You'd never see that at BDO, ha!

And yeah I am having a big year, here's what I've been to so far:

05.01.2010 Kasabian

26.01.2010 Big Day Out

20.02.2010 Good Vibrations

07.05.2010 Lisa Mitchell

11.05.2010 Vampire Weekend

04.06.2010 Miami Horror

25.06.2010 Go Between Bridge Charity Concert

25.07.2010 Kasabian

30.07.2010 - 01.08.2010 Splendour in the Grass

13.08.2010 Art vs Science

11/12.09.2010 Valley Fiesta

24.09.2010 Angus and Julia Stone

25.09.2010 Cut Copy @ Parklife

Holy wow. I may need to slow down :P

I can't believe my first ever gig was only last year :/

Oh and I put my name down to work at Sunset Sounds next year :D

might see you there!! my friends have been awfully quiet about it all, they seem disinterested suddenly. why doesnt everyone spend all their pay on gigs and festivals like i do? weird people.

been hanging around the fasterlouder forums tonight. their favourite seems to be Tool as the headliner even though they headlined only 3yrs ago and havent released anything since.

Hmm interesting, ARIA nominations, but they usually go for the generic crap. Fingers crossed they don't this year.

That sounded awesome Grace. I am so pissed off the Wombats didn't sideshow but I guess they'll come back here once their album is done. How were Cut Copy's new songs?

I have all my limbs crossed for Arcade Fire tonight.

Anyone picking a smokey? Mine is The Kooks.

Holy wow. I may need to slow down :P

If you saw my list you'd be slow.

The MA 15+ indicates something too.... cos I have seen people there under 15 with adults before

And 21st is late as! Aus day is 24th so melb might be 3rd show this time

woops and I actually did.

26th my bad

Site not loading but according to the Aus fb page heaps of people have seen the line up!

Tool would be worth the ticket price for me. but having to deal with 30 000 of their fans in the main arena wouldnt be worth it. im a big Lupe fan too and i would love to see Grinderman in action. the only other international act that impresses me is LCD and ive already seen them and crystal castles would be an awesome experience. funnily enough most of the acts i want to see are aussie. either way theres enough there to keep me happy for the entire day. nevertheless i wont be going because of summer school.

I will not be going unless the second announcement is decent. I'd rather go to laneway.

The aussie acts were predictable. I only got 2 of the internationals right, most of that was a surprise. But SHITHOUSE omg there is nothing NEW in this lineup

regardless it will sell out in no time and expect possible 2nd days in sydney and melbourne.

possible (but unlikely) sideshows for me

Lupe

LCD

Crystal Castles

TOOL!!

None of my brit bands on there. Disgraceful. And if they put them all in the 2nd announcement when it sells out I won't be happy. Don't know if its worth taking the risk.

WTF does sydney have BDO on Australia day. This shows how backward this is.

I would only see:

The Black Keys

The Naked and Famous

John Butler Trio

Wolfmother

Operator Please

Pnau

Little Red

Gypsy And The Cat

Ew, mostly aussies.

Dudes! This line up rules!
