fine. leave me by myself. who needs company anyways right......

Hmm Yeah I will. Who needs to learn about kidneys anyway?

S'pose I don't need any of these! *throws kidneys around*

Ive downloaded the Parades, Holidays and Hungry Kids of Hungary albums and after one listen each I liked parades the most but I will have to get into them a bit more.

The 2011 Future Music Festival line-up looks a little something like this:

The Chemical Brothers

Dizzee Rascal

Pendulum

MGMT

Mark Ronson & The Business Intl

Ke$Ha

The Presets

Leftfield

Art Vs Science

Richie Hawtin Pres. Plastikman

Steve Angello (Swedish House Mafia)

Sven Vath

Sander Van Doorn

Steve Aoki

Loco Dice

Don Diablo

Etienne De Crecy

Zane Lowe

Cosmic Gate

The Subs

Sound Of Stereo

James Holroyd

& Many More

Interesting, but not good enough past the headliners. And I am NOT funding a festival that books that slag Ke$ha.

Emma and Bryce you are our night owls of the thread...

actually i would say Bryce is the very very very very early morning "owl"

im pretty impressed by that Future line up. theyve secured 10 pretty strong acts which is much better than what they managed for 2010. i wont be going, dont quite have that much money hhaha

The National have announced 2nd shows in sydney and melbourne consequently pissing off fans in every other city. tickets go on sale in just a few hours. 5PM in sydney to be exact.

Yeah very very early.

The only reason I would go to Future is if I miss out on Laneway. We'll see. But god forbid that doesn't happen!

As for the National, I really want to go to the 2nd show in Melb, missed out on the first. But I don't want to go alone cos it's a sit down venue....

yeah at this point im going alone to The National. but ive been listening to Boxer and High Violet religiously this past month and i wouldnt be able to live with myself if i missed out on them just cos i had nobody to go with.

i have work today so im going to be a little late to buy the tickets. im hoping that not many people have heard about the 2nd announcement so it wont sell out in less than 30mins!

^ good luck!

NO! Didn't you read the rest of that conversation???

Yeah the Future lineup has some pretty strong acts. But Ke$ha, EWW.

I'm actually kinda glad to hear that the National won't be doing extra shows up here because I'd have to go and see them if that was the case, and with Good Vibes, Laneway and Tim Minchin I don't quite have the extra cash!

ahh Laneway.........*goes off to look for $125 under his bed and sofa*

Why would I need to learn about kidneys???

ive gone from going alone to The National to now going with a group of 4! yay

^lucky. I've just focussed back on Laneway to remove my thoughts of The National.

And hey, its not like they're Radiohead...

so alex ur not going to see the National? shame. it will be an amazing show.

Nah. It's ok, I am going to have to make some concessions. I love High Violet and The Boxer so much, but I will see them next time.

Haha, the joys of festival season!

Laneways is R18. If I can't go with a parent I may be very very very unhappy

Aww Eddie. Hopefully you can get in!

Just bought tickets to the Triple J Aus music month party, to see Hungary Kids of Hungary :D

Going with 3 people, should be fun!

omg Zane Lowe is coming for Future Music. hope Zan Rowe gets to interview him hahaha

I really like Zane Lowe, not just cos he's a kiwi, but his UK radio show's decent.

Me too! I heard one of his DJ sets once and it was really good.

Also, the first lineup for the Playground Weekender festival in Sydney was announced this morning, and includes Caribou, Four Tet and Doves. Which explains why Caribou and Four Tet aren't coming to Laneway.

First Lineup

EDIT: wait, no it doesn't. ^ festival doesn't start til well after Laneway is over, ha. Suppose they don't want to holiday in Aus the whole 5 days between the festivals.

now that i have tickets to the National. all i need now is to see Arcade Fire and my summer will be complete. at this moment Laneway and Tool sideshow would be a bonus.
