so you have no option but to get greentix? that is so stupid. *turns on all the lights in his house and has a super long shower in protest*

Wooo, just got my ticket!!

Though the two people who said they were going to come pulled out, they don't want to spend the money :dozey:

Still, going to be EPIC :awesome:

I can't wait for Foals and Two Door round 2! And Cut Copy headlining for the first time!

^^Those two (Foals and Two Door) are pretty much the reason for me going! :D

And I've just figured out where the festival actually is, it's literally within walking distance to my house. Awesome.

Foals, Beach House and Cloud Control are all in my top 10 albums of the year at this stage and Cut Copy have made one of my favourite albums of all time. it will be great to hear selections from those records live on stage.

I like the fact we have a representative from each capital city on the east coast!

I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing:

Foals

Two Door Cinema Club (these top two are priority, the rest I just want to see)

Beach House

Cut Copy

Local Natives

The Holidays

Deerhunter

Yeasayer

EXCITED.

Has anyone heard "The Last Thing You Need" by Sparkadia ? It's on their 'Postcards' album. Honestly, it's a great song but unfortunately it's nowhere to be found on the internet - i.e. - Youtube. I wish someone would upload it on youtube so that I could share it with people. Hint hint.

Kelly venturing to the World of Music section?!?! Crazy. Welcome over here :D

I love sparkadia to death, I'll see if I can help you out.

EDIT: Hmm. Couldn't find anything anywhere. I don't want to infringe the copyright of the song, either. I guess you could just send links to 30-sec streams on itunes or 7digital.co.uk?

Why don't you guys want to see Holy Fuck??

They're one of my favourite bands. They look like they'd be so amazing live!

The people at laneways say they are still unsure on whether I'd be able to go with a parent. Eeek. But apparently they are organising something for Wellington which is exciting.

^^ I actually do, I think they'd be great! I only just discovered them but they're really cool

No disrespect to them but hmm, I need my bands with lyrics.

Haha, it did surprise me when I realised they had no lyrics.

But before I realised that I was really enjoying it so I just appreciated it for what it was :awesome:

I'd rather have an awesome instrumental band than a band with a crappy singer!

i will most certainly check out Holy Fuck if they dont clash with a band i really like.

It's a while since this thread's been so quiet... nothing happening on the aus music scene at the mo?

triple j's aus music month starts next week. arias arent too far away. laneways have sold out in record time.

and omg did anyone listen to rosie on triple j on friday night. i listened from 8pm to 10pm and it was 2 of the best hours of radio i have ever heard. just awesome party songs one after the other. made me realise just how good this year has been in all types of genres.

EDIT: OMG Usher tickets go on general sale tomorrow. OMG OMG OMG! it is sooooo worth spending 200 bucks to see him.

(multiple puns were intended)

I was at Cloud Control on Friday night :awesome:

They were so good!

And afterwards I got a setlist, and got it signed by the whole band. And I talked to Heidi for a few minutes, she was SO nice.
