Powderfinger made Australian music history yesterday, becoming the first band to play a mid-air gig.

 

Three rows of seats were removed from the plane, giving a small but cosy 'stage' where the band set up amps. 140 fans had bid for seats on the flight, [paying up to $10,000 for a ticket, with $150,416.63 in total raised for the charities Yalari and StarKids.

 

ABC News Online reported that the set included My Happiness, Burn Your Name, Waiting For The Sun, Lost And Running, Sunsets and These Days.

 

Powderfinger continue their final Sunsets tour over the next few weeks with shows in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney, before wrapping up in Brisbane on November 13.

 

Front man Bernard Fanning says that the band has been too busy to get nostalgic yet but hasn't ruled out getting a little emotional as the tour draws to an end.

 

"Maybe the last show might get to us a bit, but we're purely focused on trying to put on the best shows."

I've seen them live a couple of times too, they put on a decent enough show. The horse heads are a little creepy though...

i cant seem to find any audio of boy and bear doing fall at your feet. rosie played it last week so i thought it was a like a version but i havent been able to find it on the triple j website. anyone help?
