Very pretty pictures.

I am glad that both coldplayer groups had a good time / the group I was with today seeing Miller and the other group having the pleasure of meeting Chris\ friend.

But it surely would have been nice to celebrate Parachutes\ 10 years anniversary together. :)

I am very happy to hear that you got to meet a friend of Chris'! :) Lovely pictures also. Thanks for posting!

I'm so glad that so many people enjoyed the picnic, and in such wonderful weather :sunny:

I'm sorry to hear that not everybody could make it or find each other, but it seems like everyone enjoyed themselves even in their own groups :)

I'm very sorry that I wasn't able to come myself. I'd been planning this for so long as my biggest contribution to the meet-up, and had many things prepared. The only thing I hadn't been able to prepare was the venue, because I thought Hampstead Heath was the best place but I don't know the area well...so I asked and asked on this thread and on the meet-up group if people could help me with that, but no-one replied.

Thank you so much my friend, it's very kind of you all, and I missed everybody too, a great deal. I was terribly upset I couldn't make it

I'm really glad you had a great day, but I'm very sorry you weren't able to meet up with everyone else. I have no idea about that as I wasn't able to come (I'll explain about that in a minute) but I posted my mobile telephone number on the meet-up group, and if anyone had any trouble they only needed to call me and I would have arranged everything for them. I don't know what else I could do?

I don't know how you could decide to go to any place for the picnic without internet access for a week, as the venue wasn't decided then? I would say that was a huge mistake, wouldn't you? There are internet cafes in London you know?

I also find it very strange that you have managed to get internet access after the picnic to complain, but not beforehand when it would actually have been useful...

About the text messaging I'm very sorry to hear that. I don't understand what happened but I'm absolutely certain it was an honest misunderstanding. The main ladies who organised today (in my absence) are good, honest people.

As for your complaint that the organiser (me) did not turn up, why didn't you contact the organiser when you had problems meeting up with the others? Although I couldn't come I have spent the day checking the forum here and helping to organise things between people on my phone as I could, when people asked me.

I've been planning and looking forward to this for so long, only a life or death matter would have kept me from coming, and that is what happened. Whilst you had a 'great day' despite your disappointment, I have not. I missed the picnic because a close family member is gravely ill and I'm taking care of them.

I tried my best, and think I did pretty well given the circumstances. I wish I could have been there and done more. Everybody I have met on the meet-up will tell you, I hope, that I try my very best to organise things, to make sure everybody is included and comfortable, and that everybody gets everywhere OK, but it was impossible for me to do more today. I did everything I could.

You've done amazing Pete and I agree with everything you say. And we know how much you have been planning and organizing things. And that is why I am so sad you couldn't come. But we will for sure do it again. Thanks so much for all your efforts! It would not have been as good without you organazing and planning. Needless to say, you and Anna make a killer arganizing team! :D You did do everything right.

I'm sorry for any possible further ungraciousness in this comment, but you know that Hampstead Heath is huge, right?

You can't just blame us for not finding you in Hampstead Heath (especially since we didn't know that you were coming or who to look for), you know, because of its hugeness.

In my opinion, all of us were quite obvious - we flew a butterfly kite, listened to Parachutes and wore Coldplay accessories. I don't think a group of Coldplayers could be any more obvious than that, except for a big flashy sign saying "COLDPLAYING MEET-UP 2010".

Besides, we didn't know that there were other people coming, so why look for people that we don't know are coming?

You say you weren't 100% sure if you were coming or not. I think the best thing for you to have done here is to say that you MIGHT come, and then text if things would turn out differently. In most cases, silence means no, and you've been silent. I'm sorry, but you can't blame us for you being silent. This meet-up have been planned for months and you're not even a member of the group.

Your lack of Internet access is more relevant than ever right now. Anna's number was fully shown in the thread, so you can't say that there was no way to contact the organiser, with or without mobile access.

I am a bit pissed at you right now, but however I'm happy that you eventually found people to hang out with. This problem will of course try to be avoided in the future.

Agreed to 100%.

All in all I think there is a need for a bit more respect for those who have put their heart and time into this meet-up that has been a real success.

So...this thread is dead. :uhoh:

We're still having a good time though!

Hi Frida,

I´m at home Again. It was great to see you all!!!

That's what I thought. Therefore it's no surprise if she wasn't interested in any of the Coldplay-related activities.;)

Yes, I know!! But I told her before that the most important thing in London

will be the Coldplaymeeting!!:P

Good points about my and Bea's day-trip to London:

1 - The trains were running to time

2 - Meeting Mark and some of the other ladies

3 - Laying on the grass under the tree at Hamsted Health having the picnic walking the world go by

4- Sitting in the Dublin Castle having a drink and getting given a free cd by a new band called Lovehead

5 - Visiting the bakery

Bad points:

1 - The f*cking heat, 32C it damn hot for the UK, and even hotter in the underground :P

2 - Missing the connecting train coming back by less than a minute (got to the ticket barrier just as the train was pulling away from the station)

3 - Not meeting up with the other ladies for the picnic

Hey David... I can't wait to see those pics that you and I took. Are you going to post them on FB or should I PM you my email ????????

Believe it or not but it's way cooler today. I would not have mind if Saturday was like ths :)
