I have arrived... :awesome:

It took awhile at Heathrow though. I had to wait about 1.5 hours just to get through U.K. border security! People in the line who have been there before said it has never been that bad.

How is London? How did you travel from Heathrow to the hostel?

Can't wait until I join you guys tomorrow!

I must wait till friday!!!

Can anyone please tell me the name and address of where we will meet tomorrow? I've lost it!!

I want to wish you all a good trip and meet-up, have fun everyone :D

Thanks so much Julie, this is all thanks to you

40 College Crescent, it's just up a small hill from the Swiss Cottage tube (Eton Road exit)

And, YES! Thank you Julie, you really made this all happen. We really wish you could be here with us.

Yes, I looked in my dictionary who suggested the words I used adding (NHS) - in particular in UK. HEALTH INSURANCE CARD.

What you need to bring is a European Health Insurance Card if coming from within the EU, gives you cover to use the NHS for free (Used to be called the E111.

Roll on Saturday

Everything is packed! My dad is watching my house for the week, he will be arriving later tonight. And he is giving me a lift to the station tomorrow morning!

I'm arriving around 12.30 pm at St. Pancras, and around 13.15/13.30 at the hostel. See you then!

Lily and I arrive at 11:30 in St Pancras too!

Day 0

So, in the evening of Day 0 (the day before the official first meeting) Anna, Sofia and I decide to take a walk to see if we can find the proper streets to get to the Beehive (and Bakery, of course). Passing through the Belsize Park area it was pretty busy for a Sunday, but it was because JayZ, Lily Allen and other artists were holding a concert there (according to some information we saw in another area).

We eventually find our way to Fleet Street. First we walked the wrong way from the cross street we came from; we didn't see it, so we decided to go back in the other direction. Eventually we came to a bend in the road, and this was the view:

A view whilst standing in front of the Bakery. Seriously, just walk past a few cars and you're there. :freak:

Walking between the taller building and the church, this is a view whilst looking down. Maybe the weeds growing outside the windows were the inspiration for the greenery that we are told is inside the studio?

And before anyone asks, NO we did not see the boys (or any other recognizable person for that matter). After all, it was a Sunday evening, so you wouldn't expect much activity.

Toodles for now, more updates to come later.

Yes, PLEASE! We need some boys to even things out a bit! Maybe you could come? :awesome: We'll be here until next week. Pete (Tonsu) is here for a few days, he even mentioned possibly bringing a few of his friends later in the week.

Well, I just got home from the first day, I was unlucky with trains on the way home, (three hours to get back from Swiss Cottage ), but it was well worth it for a lovely day :D

Many of us met as planned at the hostel (which is a fantastic place by the way, and looks very well worth staying in if you're in London on a budget). Unfortunately our French members didn't appear...we found out later that they'd had a lot of travel problems, but thank goodness they made it by the evening :)

A nice long walk from Swiss Cottage to Regent's Park getting to know each other, followed by a spot of late lunch and admiring the views and birdlife of the beautiful park in the sunshine. Then back to the hostel, to finally make contact with our French friends. I left the group as they headed off for dinner, and a possible trip to Camden.

The whole day passed very quickly and a lot of laughs were had, which is always a great sign of good people getting together :P

Some highlights of the day for me, (apart from meeting everybody of course:)):

1) A singalong to Natascha's mobile phone playing Spanish Rain in the park.

2) Managing to avoid being pushed in Regent's Park boating lake by Nancy (she pretended to be joking, but I knew by the look in her eye she was extremely serious, and utterly determined!! :o :laugh3:)

3) Having an evening beer with Anna in a pub garden and moaning about the music (Bon Jovi). What came on next? Only SPARKS!!! The first time in my life I've ever heard it in a pub! What next? Cher  And then...Trouble

Random and bizarre quote of the day from a stranger

'I'm German and a police officer in my own country, what seems to be the trouble here?'

Lovely to meet you all, see you soon :D

Pete

P.S. I don't know if Jay-Z played an after-gig, but last night he headlined the Wireless Music Festival in Hyde Park...Gwyneth was there:
